I recently had my first experience with Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, FL, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. Last Friday, I scheduled an appointment for a recall repair and a check Chevrolet in Plant City, FL, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. Last Friday, I scheduled an appointment for a recall repair and a check engine light issue, which I was told was related to a part still under warranty. When I spoke with Sean, one of the service advisors, I was assured that if I brought my vehicle in on Monday, it should be a quick and straightforward fix. I dropped my vehicle off as planned on Monday and was told I would receive a call when everything was completed. However, by 5:50 PM, I had not heard anything, so I reached out to the service department myself. To my surprise, I was told they didn’t have a status update on my vehicle. This left me without my vehicle much longer than expected, with no communication or updates throughout the day. The lack of transparency and follow-up is concerning, especially for what was supposed to be a simple recall and warranty repair at no cost. While the team was quick to take in my vehicle, the overall communication and customer service experience fell short. As a first-time customer who was considering purchasing another vehicle from this dealership, this experience has definitely impacted my confidence and decision moving forward. I have had one negative experience after another since I bought my car in December from this dealership. After fixing my air conditioning 10 days after purchase, it stopped working again a few weeks later. bought my car in December from this dealership. They fixed it again and then told me that something was wrong with the airbags and that it wasn't under warranty. I took it to the Hyundai dealership and they told me that what had happened was that when they repaired the air conditioning they had broken the airbag thing. So I brought it back and they fixed the airbag part and I had to take it back to the Hyundai dealership for them to program it so that my car would work correctly again which cost me about $300. Then about a week and a half later I noticed a puddle under the front passengers seat, and I decided to bring it to the Hyundai dealership to have them diagnose what was happening. They took it apart and discovered that when the air conditioning had been fixed a part had been broken and glued together as part of the repair and which caused some kind of condensation leak that was making the puddle in my car. They told me that the broken and glued part invalidated the warranty on the air conditioner so they wouldn't fix it unless I paid for it and they suggested I bring it back to stingray. Which I did. Thankfully stingray has taken care of the repair again and compensated me for the latest diagnostic fee. However, when I picked the car up today, the carpet that they had to take out of the car is ripped in the backseat and loose in the front seat by the pedals. I don't consider myself a picky person.
