I purchased a 2016 Kia Sorento from this dealership. My salesmen was Richard and he wasn't really friendly or personable but he was the only one to approach us when we arrived. Craig Hooten worked with us on financing and he was amazing. His personality and customer service was impeccable. The next day I drove the vehicle to work and noticed that it was jerking very badly. I reported the issue and they informed me to bring it back. When I arrived I was told by the service department ( Richard McCoy) that since it was not a Subaru, they were unable to service it and they would have to send it to Kia. Kia had the vehicle for 3 weeks and they stated they found nothing wrong with the vehicle. In the 3 weeks that they had the vehicle, Richard kept me informed and always maintained an open line of communication. When I got the vehicle back, the issues remained. I started noticing white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe and one day after picking my 5 year old son up from school, the vehicle stopped in the middle of the street with no warning. It was impossible for them not to notice something was wrong with the vehicle. I had a mechanic look at it on my own and he informed me that the vehicle had a bad transmission. I was so disappointed because since the vehicle was used, it was an as is sale. I am now out of 7,000 (down payment) and a reliable vehicle for my children and I. I had the vehicle for 2 months and was only able to drive it for maybe a week, if that. PLEASE USE CAUTION PURCHASING A USED VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE. I waited more than 5 hours on site. Arrived approximately 10:15 am. I was told 2 hours for the Starlink update by service advisor Issa Kone. After 3 hours of waiting, Jill Thurston asked me if I had been updated and it was only after I told her "no", she immediately got he service adv to update. He informed me that I needed a new battery and brake flush which I agreed on. I could watch my vehicle from the room I was in; and, my car was not serviced with battery (?) and brake flush until an hour later! After 5 hours, work was completed. He invited me outside to complete the transaction and rather than swipe my credit card, he wanted to enter the numbers in the computer he was using outside. I informed him I wasn't comfortable with putting my numbers in, I preferred contact-less or inserting card for security purposes. He proceeded to insert my numbers much to my chagrin! He then asked me if I had any "discounts." In the past the service rep offered whatever was sent to customers. At this point I was stressed and forgot that I did receive a card from Subaru offering "15% off on any service or repair." I was charged approximately $345.00 for work performed and told me I would not be charged for the oil change ($54.95). I usually ask for Jeff Bowman but he was off that day. More
