In 2008, Tamiami purchased the Hyundai franchise from the O’Brien organization. The Zellers family and our staff are very proud to be associated with these two outstanding franchises. I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation almost 3 weeks in advance. The price on their website was under $60. Imagine my surprise when the service writer told me the price was around $120. She then stated that the tire rotation included in that price was around $40. It turns out their price online was only the supplies and didn’t include the labor and ever popular shop supply fees. In the end the oil change alone with the extra fees was just under $100. It almost seemed like the classic bait and switch. There was no mention of the additional fees in the initial price boldly listed on their website, maybe it was buried in the fine print. Secondly, even with my appointment made weeks in advance the wait time was one hour and forty minutes. This was my first and now last experience at the dealership for an oil change. State your fees completely when you are showing what your services cost and don’t over schedule your service department so that a simple oil change takes hours. More
