SOLD MY USED CAR TO TOM GILL FOR MORE! I was buying a new car, trading in my old Lexus... but the dealer I was buying new from kept retrading the price they were going to give me on my t I was buying a new car, trading in my old Lexus... but the dealer I was buying new from kept retrading the price they were going to give me on my trade. I went to Kelly Blue Book to determine a "fair" price and it asked me if I wanted a local dealer to bid on my car. I said yes! Tom Gill came in and offered more than Blue Book. I sent them a bunch of pictures, answered a few questions, and they offered me a price ($3,000 more than the BMW dealer I was buying from). Was concerned they (too) would trade me down when I got to the dealership... but they didn't... the appraiser looked at my car (basically confirmed I told the truth) and in less than 20 minutes I walked out with a deal. Takes two days to get the check but well worth it. Can't wait to tell the BMW dealer I sold the used car from under them (since they were just padding their margin at my expense). Makes me even wonder if I should be buying new from them! Next car I sell, I will definitely check with Tom Gill first... BTW, I've met Tom at church a few times... he's every bit as nice as he appears on the commercials. Based on the reviews, he must be as honest as well. Thanks Tom... More
