He listened to my concerns, then alerted me to the problems. He kept me informed with every step of the repair. When I came in to pick up the vehicle he reviewed every aspect of the repair with me explaining everything to me. He walked me out to my vehicle to show me where it was and to assure me that the check engine lights and codes were corrected. (it was raining, so it was really nice of him to have walked me out to the vehicle) More

It’s safe, great on g After being involved in a traumatic car accident in a Toyota Corolla I knew this was exactly what kind of car I was looking for. It’s safe, great on gas, and I never had any issues with mine. After 2 solid months of searching the area on February 27th I went to Pappas Toyota and instantly saw exactly what I have been looking for - I test drove 1 car, it was a 2018 white Corolla with less than 6000 miles on it, it was a gorgeous car and I loved it instantly. After test driving I informed my car salesmen, Anthony, I was ready to purchase the car and to let me know the next steps. The next day after filling out the paperwork and waiting to hear back from Anthony on the tint scheduling I was told he left sick for the day. After being patient and understanding 2 days later I called Pappas again to inform them I was still trying to purchase this car and haven’t heard anything- I was then transferred to Frank, a new car salesman, I sent him the information Anthony had sent me and Frank finalized the deal. Finally after a long week of headaches and lots of text back and forth of just trying to buy the car it was time to come in and sign. I get there and it’s not even the car I picked out. Anthony had wrote the VIN number down wrong and it was a 2013 gray Corolla they had even tinted it for me even though I mentioned the car was white several times. I was very upset and when I told Frank this wasn’t the car I had chosen he said the car had sold that I wanted and to go home while he tried to find me the same car. Before leaving I personally drove around the lot and saw 2 cars that looked exactly like the one I wanted. I get a call from Frank towards the end of the day saying they have nothing like the car I was going to get on their lot. I told him I saw 2 cars just like it he then acted confused like he wasn’t sure what I was talking about so I told him I took pictures of them and would send them to him. He then, after asking to talk to a manager, said to me what is it that you want. I said what I want is a car just like the one I thought I was coming in to purchase for 18,500 like I was originally committed to. Then magically they came up with a car just like the one I had seen and said they would give it to me for the same cost. When he sent me the loan information and I did my own math it was almost 21,000 for the car! So at this point I’m so frustrated and I tell Frank when I do my math it adds up to a different number. He says oh that’s the interest even though I already had 0% interest in my deal. He says oh my mistake that’s right let me fix that. What it boils down to is they sold me a brand new 2019 for 19,949 still almost 1500 than I was planning on spending but yes still a great deal for the car. You would think I’m done right? After all of this after reviewing the final paperwork the payment was higher than it should have been and I realized they added a $2,200 warranty I didn’t even know I was signing for because I had already made it very clear the price point I was at. I called and talked with Jamie in accounting and she said you can cancel within 30 days and sent me the cancellation form which said the $2,200 will go towards the Toyota loan, the payments would remain the same and you would just pay the loan off sooner, this is not what I agreed to! I was finally able to get ahold of Angelo, the general manager, and after explaining my horrible experience with him he called me back within the hour and after rewriting everything he got me back down to the 19,949.. I say all of this to say I came here knowing exactly what I wanted, I was prepared in every way to buy a car and it seems like they did everything they could not to sell me a car. Although I got a good deal in the long run the headache and all the extra work I’ve had to do this last month just to purchase it was absurd. I would get everything in writing and if you do find a car you love don’t leave without it because you can not trust this dealership. More

Kari came in anyway to get our paperwork ready, and she asked Brett to assist us once we arrived. He was fantastic! He was just as friendly, courteous and helpful to us as if he had been the one to sell us the car. It's a reflection of the staff at Pappas Toyota, and we would buy here again in a heartbeat. More

She knew we were in the market for two used vehicles and that we were searching the STL area to find a fair deal. She even put together a two-car deal for us and was understanding when we decided against the purchase after a test drive. We ended up buying a completely different car from her and feel that we got a great deal. Her post-sale responses have been just as sincere as our pre-sale dealings. Thanks, Kari! More

We would make the trip from Illinois to purchase other vehicles from "Bones". He was helpful in finding exactly what we needed on the lot and in the trade of our other vehicle. A pleasant experience for sure! More

Great Buying Experience We recently visited Pappas Toyota in the search for a used Highlander. We were specifically looking for model years, 2005, 2006, or 2007 as those years represent some of the best production years of the first-generation Highlanders. (They were still being manufactured in Japan at that time). Upon arriving we met Tim Scanlan, who was a great help to us! We were very pleased with his attentiveness to our needs and attention to detail with regards to the vehicle's history. He was very perceptive when asking us what we were looking for in a vehicle and encouraged our questions during the test drive. He was also glad to assist as needed during careful inspection of the vehicle and allowed us the time we needed before deciding to discuss pricing. During negotiation, he was very pleasant and considerate to our needs and was willing to listen to our offer in terms of what we could afford, rather than pushing back with a discussion on market value. We ultimately reached an amenable price point for all parties involved. Tim was very informative regarding what Pappas could offer in terms of financing, while also discussing our needs in terms of APR, term, and monthly payment targets. Although we were pre-approved elsewhere, our third-party APR offer bumped up to 8% due to the year of the car. We were pleased to learn that Pappas works with a small-branch credit union that was willing to offer a much better rate for older model cars. Most importantly, we continue to be pleased with our purchase and cannot speak more highly of the exceptional product that Toyota continues to produce. We love our Highlander! Thank you, Tim for being a part of that journey and for being exceptional at what you do. Tim is awesome! More
