My experience with Universal Mitsubishi in Van Nuys has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I brought my vehicle in for service, and after having the battery replaced I also dealt with a turbocha been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I brought my vehicle in for service, and after having the battery replaced I also dealt with a turbocharger failure that resulted in an estimated $4,000 repair bill. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I had my last oil change performed at this dealership, yet Mitsubishi denied my warranty claim twice, citing oil sludge and alleged maintenance neglect. I submitted three oil-change receipts to support my case, but I still found myself facing a significant repair expense. The dealership offered a $1,200 engine flush, but that does not resolve my concerns about the underlying turbocharger failure or the warranty denial. As a customer who has brought their vehicle in for maintenance, I expected greater accountability, transparency, and support when a major mechanical issue occurred. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this dealership to keep detailed records of every service and carefully document all maintenance performed on their vehicle. Based on my experience, I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled and would have a hard time recommending this dealership to others. Absolutely, amazing and pleasant experience I had and highly recommend Universal Mitsubishi. Paul is great asset to Mitsubishi and very lucky to have him.
