Having previously bought a car from this dealership with a less-than-stellar experience, I was a bit reluctant to come back. I was looking for a particular Toyota to replace my existing vehicle which I was rather underwater on, so figured I'd inquire at all of the dealerships within a 50 mile radius of my home. From the get go, Ventura Toyota seemed to excel above the others with their approach. My salesperson, Paul Singh, was professional, welcoming, and knowledgable. He knew that I was shopping around so made great strides to see that I was taken care of at his dealership. We had my car appraised with Octavio Fierros, their used car sales manager, and he was able to offer me thousands more than two neighboring dealers. I handled my finance paperwork with Eddie Wehmeyer, and let me tell you, this guy deserves a raise! He went VERY above and beyond in ensuring that I was taken care of. He's quite dedicated in his role, and made me feel so welcomed and valued. He had even remembered me from four years ago when I was last in there, which I thought was neat. At the end of the day, I was able to walk out with a new vehicle, payments I can handle, and a fair market sale for my trade-in. I will be back! More

Today for example: I brought in my aging vehicle for an oil change. I was assisted by Raphael for the hassle-free transaction. Having a bit of time, I test drove the 2018 Rav4 Hybrid with Daniel, and we chatted and had an enjoyable time. When I told him about the kitchen remodel we were in the middle of, he completely understood that it would be a little crazy to buy a new car today. I then went across the way to the Crown dealership and looked at Jeeps. While jeeps are great- that place is super sleazy. The sales person who came out and spoke to me was the old school sleazy car salesman with his condescending manner and disparaging low ball remarks about my current vehicle. Their strategy there seems to be to make the customer feel like a dirtbag driving a pile of garbage. Not really sure how that might work for them, but as I was leaving to go back to toyota the guy was actually shouting to me as I crossed the street trying to sell me pretty much anything... So if you've been with Toyota for awhile, you might forget that these analog experiences happen at other dealerships. Toyota of Ventura is our happy place; whether buying the Toyota brand or a used offering of a different make. They treat you like friends and family. More
Bad salesmanship Enrique lied to me about my warranty I purchased. He upsold me from it being a 5 year warranty by telling me he would do 8 years. Come to find out this is only from the year the vehicle was originally purchased so it was only 5 years after all. This is poor salesmanship and I feel cheated. His selling tactic was to make me feel silly about being hesitant financially and he was aggressive pushing this upon me. More
Don't buy here! Bait and switch They will tell you one price. Then make you wait around for two hours, sign 90% of the paperwork before you realize the price has gone up. Then Jamie Torres proceed to rudely tell you with a smirk that the previous offer has expired because you left the parking lot. When, in actuality, his sidekick told you to come back before closing to capture the deal This was the most horrible experience ever. Laughably, I went to a competitive Toyota dealer and got a better deal with people who are actually thrilled to have your business. More
