We live in LA and the car was in Ventura, two hours away. Before my wife and I went on our little adventure up north (though LA get-out-of town Holiday traffic) we wanted to speak with the sales department and that's when we met our man, Luis Martinez. Over the phone we worked out a solid deal. I'll be honest, we did go back and forth a few times as Luis continued to check in with his management about our offer, but in the end we felt really good about our price. Once we arrived, Luis greeted us outside with a smile and a firm handshake. He invited us to sit inside as he went to get the car from the back. Once the car showed up I did my good husband duty and thoroughly inspected the car, literally stuck my head under the car on all sides. We took the Prius V for a spin around the dealership and immediately felt comfortable with Luis and the car. Arriving back at the dealership we started the paperwork. This process took a little longer then expected, Luis was called to do other duties around the dealership but he did come in to frequently check in with us. Next phase was financing, Luis introduced us to another gentleman by the name of Shawn Etminani, another solid man who walked us through a glass corridor with offices on either side. I felt as if we were on the Star Trek Enterprise. The layout of the offices represented transparency to us. And that’s exactly how the meeting went. Shawn laid out and explained every part of contract with various financing options. I have to admit, I often hear of this part being the “heads up, this is when they get cha”, but it was quite different. We met Shawn in the middle and he even worked with us on our budget. You don’t know till you ask. Be fair and reasonable. Know what your true budget is and try to stick with it. Toyota offered a Black Friday financial special that they honored, even thought it was two days be fore the New Years. We did end up paying a little more then what we wanted with extended warranty’s and gap coverage. But in hindsight, we walked away with a great value and a peace of mind. More so, we walked away with a great experience and met a hand full of people that cared if you have walked away with a safe and reliable car. Thank you Ventura Toyota Ruben n Salomeh More
Service department exceeded my expectations!!! I took my 2015 Tundra into Ventura Toyota because I had been experiencing a rattle in the right side dash area that seemed to be getting louder, and I took my 2015 Tundra into Ventura Toyota because I had been experiencing a rattle in the right side dash area that seemed to be getting louder, and louder. This had been going on for about a month. I wanted to see if they could find and eliminate the rattle. Rafael and Scott said they had test drove the vehicle, and couldn't hear the rattle. I drove my truck with Rafael in the passenger seat, and neither of us could hear the rattle. I then drove the vehicle around the block again, and the rattle was there. It seemed to be coming from the cover underneath the glove compartment. Rafael suggested that he put felt on all the contact points, which he did. We took it for another test drive, and the rattle was still there. Rafael put more felt on the cover. Took it for a 3rd test drive, and rattle was still there. Rafael then put felt patches on the inside of the cover to dampen the rattling, which it did. Problem solved. In my opinion, Rafael went above and beyond what I ecpect a dealership to do for a customer. I am very happy with Rafael, Scott, and Ventura Toyota. More

He was friendly, confident, soft spoken, knowledgeable about the product, pleasing to speak with, easy to understand, eager to please the customer without appearing desperate in any way. His professional presence allowed him to steer this customer in a direction that gave me what I wanted, present what I needed, and solve the question of what exact product would be the most suitable fit for my personal needs and wants. His service was so appreciated that I am going out of my way to make sure that you know how wonderful of an experience he made of my having to buy a car. I did not like having to buy a car and Ruben made me a happy customer so much that, as I left the dealership I was remembering Toyota television commercials of decades ago that had customers clicking there heals and saying "Oh, what a feeling!" I honestly wanted to demonstrate that to him but knew I would crack my head open on the salesroom floor if I tried to do so. KP Ghuman was my finance, deal closer guy. He was extremely courteous, friendly, and efficient. He repected my time and got me in and out very quickly just as I requested. More

While I was I had the worst experience purchasing a new car from the Ventura Toyota yesterday. I set the price with dealer a week before I walked in. While I was making an appointment, I explained that I had an interview in downtown at certain time, so I had to leave by this time. I also added that if it is hard, I would come a day later. I reminded at least 5 times, and the dealer, Patrick Reed, promised me that I would be able to walk out by that time. Thus, I walked in. As I walked in, took the vehicle on test drive, and I sat down to sign the paper. While I was filling out the paper, they ask me if I had another type of identification card other than my driver's license. Luckily, I had my Visa picture and Passport picture on my phone, yet it still took half an hour. Even though I had my insurance, cash check, and everything that a customer had to prepare, it entirely took 2 hours to get out from dealer. I handed them my check. After freaking 15 minutes, the dealer comes to me saying "Oh Patrick made a mistake while he was calculating your tax because you didn't tell him your zipcode to him. He calculated based on Ventura County tax, which is 7% but you live in Los Angeles, so the price will go up about $400. What would you do?" I laughed, what would I do after sitting down for one and half hour in the dealership? I was annoyed. First, I did type in my Zipcode when I sent an inquiry through cars.com. Second, the dealer, himself, mentioned that "Your tax based on Los Angeles County~~~~ is $XXXX". I showed him the email now he says "oh" and proceeds. It was just one of the dealers' strategies to charge customers extra. I know for fact that they would have not given me the tax back if I find out after signing the paper. Well that was that, it could have been real mistake right? Now I am anxiety because the time is coming up; I have to leave. I gently tell the dealer that I am in hurry. The dealer, instead of hurrying up, tells me to just wait calmly as he chats with other walk-in customers. Finally time is up, then the financial guy tells me to come in. I ask the the financial guy to fax the contract paper to my agent, and he says no. I am aware that my attitude might have been rude because I was in hurry and not satisfied with the dealer trick on me. However, I am paying damm extra fees for the process. You charged me for the dealer docs fee huh? At the end, I asked him again, and he said he would do it. My insurance agent called me this morning saying that the faxed document is not legible. I didn't bother myself asking the dealership again, so I just scanned myself and sent him the docs. When I finally got my keys, it was about half an hour later than the time the dealer promised. I hop in, and the dealer says "Now get out and go do your interview" The most rude dealer ever in my life. If you have a service job, your job is making customer satisfied instead of making them pay extra or putting them in extra risk. I had to drive fast to make it, the interview was not successful as I was in anxiety. Thank you for the worst experience Ventura Toyota. Hope this review helps other people realize how bad the service is at Ventura Toyota. More
