Not wanting to drive back home with a possible problem I went the the Village VW of Chattanooga dealership service department. Even though it was late in the afternoon close to closing time they took my car in and hooked it up to their machine to determine whether it was safe for me to drive the 100+ miles home. Both Crockett Griffin and Jason Schollenberger were polite and helpful. They determined that it was not a mechanical problem but an electrical problem that was throwing some codes causing the light to come on. They assured me it was safe to drive back home to my local VW dealer And they did not charge me for this diagnostic service even after I offered to pay. More

Since it was sort of an emergency situation, she made sure that a loaner vehicle was ready to go when I arrived at the dealership so I could be on my way to work and not have to take any time off. When I picked up my Beetle, she honored my request and connected me with the tech that checked my car so he could explain the nuances of my vehicle. The entire experience was quite clear and very reassuring. I waited half my life to buy a bug, and I cannot say enough positive things about both the sales staff (thank you, Lynn!) or the service staff (thank you, Charolene!).
