Straight forward - william wild
Convenient and straight forward car buying experience throughout the process. Zero sales pressure during inventory browsing, free carfax report provided on vehicles without needing to request it. Overall a friendly, family owned company that made the process a breeze including our sales rep volunteering to return our rental car to the airport to eliminate one more headache for us during the process. So far we're very happy with our AWD 2009 Saturn Vue XE.
Be Careful you dont get "CHEATED" - Military Fam
Be very careful dealing with this company, I believe they will happily cheat you. We are a military family that has just been moved to the Fairbanks area and needed to find a second car. In shopping around we found a vehicle (Toyota Sienna van) that would have been right for our needs on the Affordable Used Cars lot. In doing a little research on the van we found that the price that the dealership was asking was the absolute highest price listed on any of the auto valuation site (KBB, NADA, etc) for this kind of vehicle in EXCELLENT condition, however the vehicle was not in excellent condition. In initially speaking to the salesman they were willing to make some small concession in the price for all the cosmetic damage that the vehicle had, and although saying over an over again that that they of course stand behind the quality of their vehicles 100% would offer no kind of writing or warranty (not even 15 days) for the vehicle or to indicate this belief in the quality of their vehicles. I was finally able to get them to let me take the vehicle to an independent mechanic to take a look at it. The mechanic, after doing a good inspection they found that the vehicle had serious mechanical issues and needed some major repairs (about $1600). I went back to the dealer with the intent of either having them repair the problems or reducing the price to account for the actual condition of the vehicle so that I could still have the vehicle repaired. The dealer wanted their mechanics to look at the car (as if they hadn't looked at it already). After looking at the car the dealership initially tried to ignore the issue by saying that it was not really a problem, but later (after some pressure) admitted they had found the problem and it did in fact need the repairs claimed. Rather than repair the vehicle or negotiate a reduced price (so that I could have it repaired) they decided that they no longer wanted me to buy the vehicle and put it right back on the lot for the same "full value" price they had been originally asking. I can only guess that they were hoping that some other "sucker" would come along and they could try again to pass off this vehicle on them for a price WAY above what it was really worth. BE VERY CAREFUL
We ordered a new SUV, 5 weeks later when I checked in,... - Alaskagirlz
We ordered a new SUV, 5 weeks later when I checked in, there was no car ordered. So, we looked at one somewhat comparable, but had a heads up display we did not have on our order ($1,000). We went to buy and sign all papers & our salesperson left to "do a favor" for his big boss. Come to find out, he's out with other customers. Chad had stepped in and could not come up with the numbers Chuck had down on our sheet. We left after several hours of waiting & going back and forth. We then spoke with Chuck about the numbers and he had done his math wrong, but would "eat " the difference. We were suppose to be on the same page and going to give it another go around. We even waited for his two days off. When we came in ready to pick up the car, they changed the numbers again. After all being said and them not budging and not standing by their price written on our sheet, my husband called it all off and we finally got our original $500 deposit back. Alaska Sales and Service is very difficult to work with. After almost 2 months of time & energy we walked out with nothing but frustration. Very dishonest company, this situation went beyond a typical car sales in the department of dishonesty.
