Today I purchased my second car from Darlings. Just like the first experience, this one was amazing. Everyone is super friendly and went above and beyond to get me in to my dream car. I am so happy that I chose Darlings!

We would highly recommend visiting Mike Loubier at Central Maine Motors to buy your next vehicle. He was very helpful and patient during the car buying process. Not once did my wife or I feel pressured into buying something.

Lee Jeep has a friendly, knowledgeable team that above normal customer service to make sure we got what we wanted, even when the dealership they were originally working with, were being extremely uncooperative.
not the same service since Prime bought it - kstanley133
This dealership was amazing when it was Southern Maine CDJ, but now that it is Prime it's just not the same. I used to recommend them to everyone! Sadly I cannot recommend this dealership any longer
Excellent sales team - Ryoung9621
I just bought a used Toyota Tacoma at this dealership. The salesperson was helpful, respectful and courteous. He was easy to work with and was positive when asked more than once for the best deal available on the used vehicle. He was assisted by others in completing the sale. It is a young, able and friendly team and an experience that was lacking in stress. We were able to come to a very fair price.
Excellent Personal Service - John
I have done business with Bessey Motor Sales for over 40 years and they always treat me very well. We have bought several cars from Doug Van Durme, and he always makes it a very personal experience taking into account our wants and needs. He takes care of all the details.
Bad Business Practices - Notimpressed
After much hesitation due to all the negative things I have always heard about Charlie's Motor Mall, I actually purchased a vehicle from them in October 2017; at the time the 2009 Honda CRV I purchased had 122k miles on it. I want to be clear the salesman was actually a really nice guy, not pushy or demanding at all, when it came to the finance department the next evening though that is a different story. I was offered an extended warranty which at first I was inclined to pass on, but being that it is n older higher mileage vehicle I said I would consider it, then the gentleman told me the warranty was offered by my credit union and the option that I had considered was essentially "bumper to bumper", and all repairs would be done at a dealership with a $100.00 deductible. Stupidly I purchased it. Not long after the purchase of the vehicle the transmission started to shudder between 2nd and 3rd gear sometimes. I bring the CRV to Charlie's Honda service, their first solution is to essentially spray the under carriage to see if there was loosed dirt and grime in there, ok no problem I see their point. The shudder comes back of course as this was not the problem; their second solution is to change the transmission fluid, at my cost but again I understand that this could be the problem and I get that there are some things I would have to pay out of pocket for before any expensive repairs. In the meantime another Honda certified mechanic determined it is the Torque Converter, a part which is listed as being covered under my extended warranty. I mention this when I brought it in for an oil change, tire rotation and front end alignment yesterday. The service department essentially scoffed at me, told me I needed to spend another $320.00 out of pocket for a transmission burnish, and that there is no way to diagnose a bad Torque Converter. I disagreed with them, asked how much money I need to spend out of pocket before they would even contact the warranty company to see what could be done, they ignored my question and never gave me an answer. I picked up the vehicle last night after the service center closed, drove about 7 miles home not over 35mph; on my less than 10 mile commute to work this morning my steering wheel started to shake violently at 40mph and it felt like my tire was going to fall off the car, luckily I was close to my work. THE LUG NUTS ON ALL 4 OF MY TIRES WERE SO LOOSE I COULD TIGHTEN THEM WITH MY FINGERS. So essentially Charlie's sells a crap extended warranty that they will not honor and then apparently tries to kill you when you complain.
Great Customer Service - Jeeper
We had great service from the whole crew at Hartleys. Gary was an amazing salesman, gave us time to look around without being overly aggressive. The finance people were also great to work with.

Purchased a Ford F-150 - Decker
Preapproved for a loan and called ahead to test drive a Ford F-150. We took it down the road and within minutes had decided to purchase. Joe and the team got us a better percentage on our loan without being asked and the process was simple. In and out of the dealership within 2 hours from start to signing. This is the second Ford we have purchased through them and I’m getting ready to purchase another.
Horrible experience! - Tcote65
I bought a nice 2012 dodge ram in auburn, me after getting home from Afghanistan in the marine corps. I then relocated to farmington to live and work so I decided to try to keep my business local. After having brake issues and a small recall job for a gas tank strap, I decided to take my truck over to Farminton Franklin Crystler for service to have it done professionally, so I could have it for my fathers moose hunt. I realize that the hourly rates at dealerships can be expensive, but I figured it would be worth it because they are a dodge dealer and they would be able to figure it out faster than an average joe mechanic. Boy was I wrong! The first sketchy situation was that I drove over there with no known battery problems but when I called them later in the day they stated that my battery was dead on arrival so they had to jump it and put a new battery in ($188.59 with labor costs included). On the bill I received it states "customer states battery dead, test and replace as required." Next thing was a squeaky belt which I did mention when I dropped it off. That turned into their adamant recommendation that I need to now have my water pump, fan clutch, and tensioner replaced($646.73). There were some check engine lights associated with the breaking issue. I had them clear the codes and "fix the issues" that caused said codes. There employees told me that the only thing related to my brakes that they could find wrong was a failed brake lamp switch and abs control module so they replaced both (576.84). They "cleared codes, retested system, passed. Test drove good." So after $1585.44 I pay and take my truck out of the parkinglot. Immediately, I realized the brake issue has not been fixed (full brakes by compressing the brake down 1/2 inch)and my traction control light is still on. While on the moose hunt my brakes locked up twice to the point of almost causing me to go off the road. In order to drive I had to shut the truck off, pump the brakes, and repeat until my brakes would release. When I got home I called the dealership and told them what was going on. They apologized and had me bring it in the following week. I dropped it off on Tuesday morning and hadn't received a call so Wednesday at about 4pm I call them to get an update. They said they were still trying to figure it out and that they hadn't realized before that the "parking brake levers at the rear wheels were stuck in the applied position. Will need parking brake shoes and pivots, but did not disassemble rear brakes". They also stated "they dont even know what can of worms this could mean." At this time I paid then another $228.75 for their knowledge and decided they weren't touching my truck again. So, after going in for a small recall issue and brakes, after about $1800 I am still having all the same issues before I dropped it off there. I have never felt so taken advantage of or ripped off in my life. I will never recommend anyone to go there for buying a new vehicle or for service. I am disgusted and extremely angry.
The single worst customer service experience. - ba22hockey
I purchased a new 2015 dodge durango from this dealer. I recently brought it in for an engine light that was coming on, going off, and sometimes flashing. I explained the problem they said no worries they would check it out. They called said it just needed spark plugs $340.00 for spark plugs to be replaced. They also at the same time tried to tell me I needed a new radiator it was leaking (it is not per dealer #2) I took the vehicle back and within 10 miles the engine was having the exact same problem. I brought the car back asked them to access the problem again and credit me for the labor that obviously didn't fix the issue. They refused to credit that labor. I took it to another dealer who in less than an hour told me about 4 additional problems that the car had and needed attention that the other dealer failed to mention. If you bring your car to them you better know what needs to be replaced. They will do the bare minimum, not review what may be the root of the problem and just attempt to patch repair the job so you'll be back in or bringing it to another dealer later on. If I Could give the quality of work a 0 I would.
Durango Purchase - durango2015
Very good customer service. Being one of the 1st few to purchase a Chrysler product from this dealership, things went pretty smoothly as the staff is still learning the new system. Very accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone is the market for a new or used vehicle.

Dave at the dealership was very patient with us. This was our first time getting a car, and he explained a variety of things very thorough. The experience here was great.
