STAY AWAY!!! This place is a total scam. They sell you a car that will literally only last you as long as the NY State Lemon Law protects you. I will know have a bank loan for much longer than my car lasted. I've had it for just over 1 month and now it clunked out. Need new Tranny.... seriously????!! Have already filed a complaint with the BBB and the NY State Attorney General's office. Please heed the warning!! Keep your money and go elsewhere. Chris is “all sales of junk”!!!

They were advertising a car my daughter was interested in. I called and set up an appointment for a couple days forward. Something didn't sound right so I called my sales person back to question the price(I'm paying cash) and 'other" fees. Well you don't get the advertised price unless you finance thru their sources and they were unable to give me an exact $ for their fees. I am so glad I didn't drive over to waste my time. My sales guy William seemed OK.

AVOID THIS PLACE!! The quality of service here is horrendous. I've been to their service department four times while having under 8,000 miles. -The first time was for an oil change when despite having an appointment, I was turned away by the service advisor(claimed to be the service manager at this time) Dominic because "Don't have time today. We're short staffed." - The second time was for the oil change where the service advisor Joseph helped me. While there, I also mentioned concerns regarding the brakes squeekng and the door panels rattling. I was told the service tech could hear the noises in the door from a likely manufacturing defect. The tech also heard the brakes squeeking and lubricated them and I was told to let them know if they were still squeezing after I drove for about a week. I was told to come back early so they could take the day to remove the panels and take a closer look. I made an appointment on the spot and was told to arrive at 7:30(the posted opening time on the front door of the service center) the following week. - The third time I arrived at 7:20 to shockingly find nobody around. I walked around inside the entire dealership and service area uninhibited; In and out of offices where personal financial information and car keys were laying around. I had quite a blast by myself and learned a lot about the dealership and the way it is foolishly run in that time I was alone. It wasn't until 7:45 someone arriving at the dealership for the day stopped and asked if I needed help. By 7:50 the service advisor Dominic arrived and told me that they actually opened at 8am despite what I was told by a service rep and despite what the posted hours of operation are. A service tech confirmed hearing the brakes squeezing and the door panels rattling. The lubricated the brakes, and I was told to make an appointment to come back early and give them the day to work on the door panels. 4th time is the charm I tell myself, I drop the car off at 8am and I'm told the usual by Dominic "I'll try to have it looked at but can't guarantee anything." Why do I bother make an appointment if you can't guarantee the vehicle will be looked at? When I return I'm told by Dominic and the service manager that they couldn't replicate the sounds. The previous technician literally lubricated the brakes because there was a sound and he confirmed the rattling but now I'm being told there is nothing they can do because they don't hear it and don't believe me. Because I waited until around 8,000 miles to report the annoying sound. They said they believed it was because I have tinted windows,(which shows the ignorance of the manager since they never removed the panels to apply the tints.) they said no other similar type of vehicle has these issues(I had to stop myself from explaining the definition of a factory defect to the idiot.) The service manager was rude, Dominic looked like he didn't give a care in the world during each interaction. I have a masters in business administration with a concentration in management and a certificate in international business. I've worked with the state government, federal government and with several financial institutions. Luckily for me, I can see the signs of poor and in some cases, illegal management and operation. Thankfully, I know who to contact regarding the rather shady operations at this business from the service advisor even right down to the finance manager. But others may not know, so I am writing this rather lengthy warning in hopes others will need my warning. I didn't have the patience to argue with the service manager or general manager at the time because I know how to handle this outside of the business but be warned now to whoever may be reading this.

I usually don’t write reviews but my experience here was so phenomenal that I just had to share. As a first time buyer I was overwhelmed and anxious. I visited other dealerships before coming to Smith Haven 112 and they seemed to be uninterested in helping me. Upon arrival at Smith Haven 112 I was greeted but their friendly and helpful staff. My salesperson, Andrew DeSerio provided me with the absolute best customer service. He was happy to help and answered all my questions. He went out of his way to accommodate and ensure that I was getting the best possible deal. There are no hidden fees!!! My experience with Alfa Romeo of Manhattan has been horrible to put it lightly. I went into the showroom (May 2022) to look at specific car, when I arrived the elevator wasn’t working so it was no problem but was not going to be able to test drive. I was told to wait and see if they could fix it. Thankfully they were able to get the elevator working and I was able to test drive. I wanted to proceed to see if this was something within my budget. I then talked with several of the team members, was told they could make it in my budget which was great news. I agreed and then proceeded to financing, where the monthly payment we had agreed to went up by a significant amount (after providing my $ down already). When I said I needed to think about it, I was met with “you have spent the whole day here and wasted our time” – which wasn’t the case, I spent the whole day at the showroom because of their elevator issue and then waiting on them to come back to me with numbers but I was new to buying a car so I trusted this was the way it was, felt pressure but agreed. I was told I would have the car that day, this ended up not being the case. From what they had told me (and continued to tell me) I couldn’t take the car that day because there was a sensor that needed to be replaced (the blind spot monitoring sensor), I was told it was ordered and it should be about 2-3 weeks for it to come in. I patiently waited and after 3 weeks, I took the car without the sensor being placed and was told I would be alerted when it was in and could bring it in for a quick install. After 11 additional weeks… I had not heard anything about the sensor. Finally, I was told that my car didn’t come with the blind spot monitoring, which I was told it did when purchasing – and my mirrors both have lights on them, as if they should have such sensor. I asked about this, and was met with a response that perhaps the mirrors had been replaced, which sounded ludicrous to me, that my 4 year old vehicle would have had both mirrors replaced and was told “That may have been the case with the mirrors being replaced over the course of the vehicles life usage, I checked with the service dept. and the vehicle never came with blind spot monitors or sensors.” So, I was wondering why if there was not a sensor that I needed for these blind spot monitors, I would be waiting on this part and not be able to take the car the day I got it. I was misled to believe that there was a sensor that was missing, the truth was they were having issues with getting the title. Again, I wasn’t completely clear on normal practice, but a title transfer taking over 3 months was not normal. I continued to follow up and eventually received my title, but not without persistent follow up and many months passing. The entire experience has been very frustrating. Also, when I purchased the vehicle, I was told adding the maintenance plan, everything would be covered, except for tire replacement, at any Alfa dealership and was told I was given it “at cost” since I wasn’t going to be able to take the car home with me that day. So, I added this and the extended warranty feature on to my contract. When it was time for my FIRST use of this maintenance plan – an oil change… I had an appointment scheduled, was called 3 days before and was told that they will no longer be servicing vehicles at my location. I was not offered any other location, I ended up having to pay full price for an oil change at another Alfa location, I reached out to the contract owner to see what to do, and they informed me that it was only at the Alfa Romeo of Manhattan dealership that I could be serviced and if not, that the contract would cover maximum of $50, which is significantly less than the cost, and makes the maintenance plan inordinately expensive for what it is, and that I should cancel the contract since the price they charged me for it far exceeds any benefit I would receive from it.

I live about 2.5 hours away from this dealership, but I couldn't find a ridgeline closer that met all my criteria. So I called to ask questions - I spoke to the product specialist Tom, who was straight forward, efficient, and honest. He quickly got everything done for me over the phone and put my mind at ease regarding any issues with the truck. So we made the trip, the office was run extremely well and we drove off with a truck that I LOVE within 40 minutes of arrival. I'm incredibly impressed, especially in comparison to some of the dealers I visited locally. I highly recommend them and especially Tom. The best car buying experience I've ever had.

I recently purchased a almost perfect 2011 Avalanche for a decent price...My only complaint is that he added on a two year warranty for $ 1600 that was not discussed ahead of time. In the long run I think he did me a favor...The 5.3 with AFM engine has been known to have lifter problems etc. eventually and my peace of mind knowing that it's covered for 26500 more miles lets me relax...other than that the truck is near perfect and clean top to bottom

I purchased a 2011 FORD F150 for Verdi Motors last week on the 25th of July. Being VERY DISAPPOINTED is an understatement. First, they said this truck came with electric windows and door looks. I traveled 3 ½ hours to get to these guys from Massachusetts. I get there and its NOT electric windows. Its crank windows. Anyways, they knew I had traveled so it was buy it or leave it and we will sell it elsewhere. I had to fight with them to get a 30 days warranty on the drive train since I was from out of state. They tried to tell me because I was out of state I had to buy it as-is. They could have told me this over the phone! They knew I was stuck and I really needed this truck. I buy the truck and come home. They said it had been serviced and everything was done on the truck. The oil filter was RUSTED!!!! The Air clear was just as bad. And of course, the suspension starts squeeking. Come to find out the torsion bushings are gone in the front end. Someone mysteriously spray WD40 or some kind of oil on them to quiet them down. So they stayed quiet just long enough to get me home. I am NOT HAPPY at all with these guys. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!! DO NOT BY FROM THESE GUYS!
