So it surely cannot be one that the Subaru dealer who I have referred quite a few friends (including one a few months ago; my review below is from that experience) too—yes, Patriot Subaru—is the same dealership (owner) who is about to open Maine’s first Acura dealership, in Scarborough. So imagine my excitement that I happen to purchase an Acura automobile while traveling in the tri-state of NY/NJ/CT and will have it serviced in Maine. By….the best in the business. Being an octogenarian I purchased a new 2022 Forrester at Evergreen in September 2022 mainly to assure reliable transportation living out in rural Maine. The sales people were very nice and attentive. But in January 2025 my garage kept low mileage (3000 + miles) Subaru would not start. Jason Williams assisted in getting Subaru road service to jump start the dead battery quickly. Within a few weeks the car wouldn't start again while setting in the garage again. This time Subaru road service carried it to Evergreen service Department. They charged the battery and said the problem is the lack of use and because of not driving it every day.

I needed a vehicle. Found the one I wanted. Despite the dealership trying to claim they’re different from the rest. The bottom line is they wanted a paycheck. They even joked in front of me about, “Needing to go buy a new vacuums” for all the cash that they were making off of me. Bottom line is that if their mouths are moving, they’re lying. They don’t act like they care about anything but making the maximum amount of money as quick and fast as possible. Yes I understand I could have walked away and I probably should have. But I can’t blame Subaru for the dealerships behaviors. First thing I did was remove any identification from my vehicle as to where I purchased it. Thank you Subaru for the amazing car. It’s not your fault.

Avoid this dealership and service department. They will sell you an absolute lemon, with a slick smile, and expect you to be happy with it. The absolute bottom of the barrel beings populate this place. Shop for, purchase, and service your vehicle elsewhere. You'll be glad you did.
