Always have taken our car here & work & staff have been GREAT! especially Lexie, she’s gone above & beyond! Car engine had to be replaced (under warranty). I was out of town & she handled everything. Kept me informed every step of the way; anticipated my questions & had answers on the spot. She knows her stuff! Speaks to the caliber of person she is & who you hire. I’d probably follow her to any auto service garage. Not a personal friend & only met her through this car incident. She represents Boucher Hyundai to the highest!

I get my maintenance done on the day scheduled and al a ay get a shuttle if needed at no extra cost. Nice touch!! Keeps me on schedule without having to take any PTO time. THANKS HYUNDAI!

I have purchased two vehicles from John Amato Hyundai and have been very pleased both times. Staff have been very pleasant to work with both times, especially the first time when I was in a tougher financial spot then I am now.

Beware: Even if you pay for a car in full-cash, Gurnee Hyundai will do a hard hit that lasts for 2 yrs on your credit score. If you finance the car, Gurnee Hyundai will do 2 hard hits that last for 2 years. This is the second time it happened. My husband purchased his new car in 2023, and I just purchased a new Hyundai 3-21-25. We specifically asked if we would get 2 hits on our credit. The salesman and the finance guy said, "only 1". This turned out not to be the case! There were 2 credit hits each on Transunion and Experian 3-21-25, the date I purchased the new car to get the cash rebate bonus. We both are proud of our credit history with no debts, with minimum hits. Even though I wanted to pay in cash, in order to get the $3k cash bonus, I had to finance part of it and was told that I can paid the balance off in 3 months in order for Gurnee Hyundai get their commission from the finance company. Here is what shows on Transunion report today Monday 3-:24-25--- -Gurnee Hyundai HCA (Finance) Mar 21, 2025 -GURNEE HYUNDAI (Auto) Mar 21, 2025 The takeaway: There is no way to avoid getting a "hard hit" when you buy a car from Gurnee Hyundai. We don't mind the hits; we just don't want to be lied to.
