Oops, I did it again! - kristigeneral

Oops, I did it again! This is my fourth time as a returning customer. If I didn't make it clear last time: each experience somehow manages to get better and better. At this point, I literally feel like part of the CarMax family the second I walk through the door. I will never, ever go anywhere else! 🚙✨

Great customer service! - A Z

Great customer service! Went in and they had it all ready to go! Thank you!

I was looking forward to buying my next Soul from here - Andrew

I was looking forward to buying my next Soul from here but I don't trust this Kia anymore and will probably choose a different brand altogether. I came in with my Kia Soul with a very simple issue - cylinders one and four are misfiring at high acceleration with engine codes P0300, P0301, and P0304 displaying intermittently. Firestone suggested I take it to a dealership so I did. Guy escorting me in says "no problem, that's an easy fix." Anthony (service advisor) was kind and descriptive and was verbose on the diagnostic sheet he sent to the shop, describing exactly what was wrong and how to replicate it when test driving. He says four days for diagnostic, I say ok, he says they don't do diagnostics on weekends so it'll be until Thursday (six days.) Understandable. On Tuesday (four days later) the technician texts me an inspection video and says, "You had some codes you said you had in your vehicle. However, I scanned your vehicle and the only code that was stored in as history, meaning the only code that was active in the past, is a P045." That was an unrelated EVAP leak code that they did a leak test for and determined was not an issue. So they didn't test drive the car or look into my actual issue at all. So I text them back and explain the entire issue over again in text and that if they test drive it, you will know immediately that something is wrong. No response. I call them and leave a voicemail with Anthony. No response. I call again the next day; straight to voicemail. I text and say "What is the status of my car? Nobody is returning my calls." Anthony texts back and says he's off today and will call me in the morning (Saturday.) The morning comes and goes. At 4:12pm I text "Hello, still waiting for a call back." I finally get a call back and they say it's a catalytic converter issue and it needs replacement. I ask him for 15 minutes to confirm and he says it'll be $1450 before tax, around $1500 after. I say nice and let's do it. He says car should be ready by Thursday. It's now Tuesday. They've had my car for ten days, and now I receive a new message saying that there was a "pricing error" and the updated quote will be $5449.95, truly an unfathomable jump in the price. I decline out of pure shock and he says "ok, since you're declining you'll now have to pay the $280 diagnostic fee" Tried to speak to a manager (Eli) today, straight to voicemail with no response. Great! You guys kept my car for ten days, wouldn't offer me a loaner or rental until the diagnostic was done four days in, wasted those four days and didn't diagnose the issue at all, then misquoted me eight days in and raised the price by nearly four times the original amount on day ten, wouldn't text me back or return my already scarce calls, and now I'm expected to still pay the diagnostic fee. I guess that fee isn't contingent on the quality or completeness of your diagnostics. Definitely do not recommend this dealership for a number of reasons - price, scheduling, but most importantly, communication.

This was, without question, the worst customer service - hpadilla

This was, without question, the worst customer service experience we have ever had! Our experience with this dealership was completely unacceptable start to finish. While we were actively trying to purchase a vehicle, Sandy -a salesperson at this dealership accidentally texted us a message that was clearly meant for an employee but about us. In that message, they called us “stupid.” We have screenshots (attached). Sandy, her boss and other staff acknowledged the embarrassing text related to us as customers. They promised they would make this right but in fact, it got so much worse. We were assigned a new agent, who was supposed to help us with our purchase. We discussed the car and filled out forms sent us to run our credit etc. The dealership ran our credit on a Friday for the vehicle we believed we were purchasing but we later (4 days later) learned that the vehicle had actually been sold the day before! Think about that—they knowingly or negligently ran our credit for a car that was no longer available. We weren’t even informed until Monday, after an entire weekend of believing everything was moving forward. So let’s recap: • Wednesday: We were called “stupid” by dealership staff. • Thursday: We send our details in attempt to still purchase the car. Thursday: They sell that car (not to us) • Friday: Our credit was run for the car that had already been sold. • We were left in the dark for days. • Monday: WE had to follow up with a call and find out that the car had been sold even though they ran our credit. We were promised the General Manager would personally contact us to address everything – the insulting text message, the unnecessary credit inquiry and the mishandling of the sale. That call never came and we have heard nothing since! (It’s been over 2 weeks) We were bounced around from manager to manager – Amanda and Dean being among them. Each time, we were the ones having to follow up and every time we spoke to someone new, they explained that they knew about our situation. So they were all fully aware of what had transpired yet there was no urgency and seemingly no genuine concern for how we had been treated. This is completely unacceptable! This dealership has shown a complete lack of professionalism, honesty, communication, and respect for its customers. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to those mistakes says everything about its character. Instead of owning their errors and keeping their word of ‘making it right’, they ignored us and hoped we’d go away. Take your business somewhere that values its customers. We certainly will, and we’ll be warning everyone we know to avoid this dealership.

Extremely thankful and happy with the best team at this - Cici

Extremely thankful and happy with the best team at this dealership. Sales person Elena , Raul, and Jordan - the finance manager. Thank you for your time, patience, and commitment to your customers. Elena ensured that we had the best experience buying a new car. While these purchases tend to be stressful, Elena made sure that it went as smoothly as possible. 100 % recommended!!!

crankshaft pulley bolt - R&T

I am consistent about maintaining my car and when things come up. Had a weird vibration in the steering wheel that was diagnosed as nothing. This happened just prior to the 100,000 mile warranty expiration. I took it in again when it persisted, just slightly after the 100,000 mile warranty expired and the problem was diagnosed as a broken crankshaft pulley bolt. They also gave us the impression that they knew if was probably this problem when we brought it in originally. I was furious but what can you do. Now, years later, I receive a class action lawsuit notice about this very problem. Bad news is that I have sense tossed the receipt to prove that I had to pay the $1,000+ repair bill. Very, very frustrating.
