Mr. Aundre Robertson of Toyota Orlando was the worst dealer I've ever had to deal with. Let me start off by saying that I recognize that buying a car is a business transaction that doesn't always work o dealer I've ever had to deal with. Let me start off by saying that I recognize that buying a car is a business transaction that doesn't always work out. The guy buying a car and the guy selling the car often can't come to an agreement, and the deal doesn't go through. It happens. It's just business. No hard feelings. But just because this is just business, doesn't mean you have to be rude to the buyer if the buyer doesn't want to take your deal. While I was trying to buy a car from Toyota Orlando, Mr. Robertson had a surcharge he wanted to add on top of the sales price and taxes of the car. I questioned the charge and stated that I had not seen other dealers add that charge for the same car I was trying to buy. Mr. Robertson's response was "well, that's because you haven't been shopping enough for a car." I thought he was being rude and condescending. I expressed that I would be willing to take the car without the additional charge. Mr. Robertson said No (which again, he has the right to do). I then said I could not take the car and I proceeded to get up and leave. Mr. Robertson then stated "well, come back when you've had a chance to shop around and you are ready to buy a car." Again, I thought this comment was rude and condescending since I had been shopping for a car now for a month and was absolutely ready to buy a car this day. I replied with "with respect, I've been shopping around." To which Mr. Robertson just laughed and said "No you haven't." I was getting annoyed by this point and again stated "Yes, I have." To which Mr. Robertson smiled and stated "You'll find out." By this point I flat out called him out by saying "now you're just being rude." To which Mr. Robertson just shrugged and walked away. Thankfully my wife and two minor daughters were in another room and didn't witness the exchange because i thought the guy was totally just being disrespectful. As I was leaving I asked to see Mr. Robertson's manager, and I give Toyota Orlando credit for having two people (including a sales director I believe) come out and talk to me and note my complaint. Again, me as the buyer and the dealer don't have to agree on the numbers to buy a car. Again, it's just business and either party has the right to walk away from the deal. But the dealer has no right to talk down to the buyer like that. Even if the dealer is ultimately correct about the numbers and mechanics of a proposed deal, don't belittle the buyer by laughing at his face telling him he hasn't shopped around enough like he said he has. For this reason, I give Mr. Aundre Robertson a one star as a car dealer (only because I can't give him zero stars), and i give Toyota Orlando three stars for at least having the decency to come talk to me and note my complaint (even if they ultimately don't take any action on it.) Sexist management At Toyota of Orlando you can expect sexism, to be patronized, and to have your potential trade-in treated with zero respect. I was first helped by Aun At Toyota of Orlando you can expect sexism, to be patronized, and to have your potential trade-in treated with zero respect. I was first helped by Aundre and I test drove a 2019 Toyota Corolla with him. He was actually really decent and respectful. I liked the car. The mileage was low and the price was great. When we went inside, my family and I sat down to talk numbers and he brought over a manager named "Scotty" (Scott). Scotty glanced down at the papers that had been filled out about my current place of employment and began quizzing me about my own field. I'm a scientist and a woman in her thirties. My family and I felt uncomfortable and it was obvious to all of us that he didn't believe I'm capable of doing what I do for a living. I'm not sure whether he immediately formed this opinion upon seeing me just because I'm a woman or because I look younger than my age, but it was incredibly demeaning for my intellect to be sized up while I was trying to inquire about purchasing a vehicle. When we got into talking about numbers, Scotty then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't possibly have the rate I had, in fact, been approved for by my financial institution. We finally decided to leave and discuss things "over lunch." I really just wanted to get out of there and continue searching elsewhere. When I went back to my car, I discovered the arm rest on the driver's side door had been broken and it hadn't been damaged at all, until I gave the keys to Toyota of Orlando to go inspect my potential trade-in. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Toyota is a great brand, but this dealership is a cesspool. Needless to say, I purchased a vehicle at a different dealership and I'm very happy that I did. More

Stereotyped? Not allowed to test drive I had purchased a car from these folks before and the experience was mostly positive, so I returned to see what they could do for me this time. I I had purchased a car from these folks before and the experience was mostly positive, so I returned to see what they could do for me this time. I was there to look at and very likely buy what is probably one of the more expensive models on the lot. I was geniuely excited to go check it out. First, we were denied to get into the model I was interested in purchasing. They asked us to look at one they said was virtually the same. They did this by claiming that the keys for the one I wanted were locked because, and I quote, "we don't want people in and out of it, lowering the value. It's not a Corolla". Never mind they still had to get the keys for the other model I was allowed to see. Before letting me even sit in the other model, I was told that they don't really do test drives for that car because people already know what to expect and know they want it. This was immediately followed by the sales person (or maybe a supervisor since he was called to help) mentioning a list of negative things about the car as if to dissuade me from considering it. In other words, they simply blew me off in under 5 minutes.. What does one say after that? Why even try to push the issue if they obviously want you to leave? I was dumbfounded, and 36 hours later, I still am. Maybe they thought I could not afford it? I will never know. But I will test drive it and buy it if I like it. Just not at Toyota of Orlando. UPDATE: Said and done. I purchased the vehicle at a different dealership where I was treated politely and professionally. More
