Not sure how to start this review but I did end up purchasing the vehicle knowing that the carfax stated that it was in a minor accident and that it was towed, Juan(JT) did say it was minor and nothin purchasing the vehicle knowing that the carfax stated that it was in a minor accident and that it was towed, Juan(JT) did say it was minor and nothing to worry about because the car was inspected and everything passed inspection, when I seen the inspection report it did say there were a few issues, I asked JT if everything on the report was fixed or replaced he assured me that they were even though I stated that the door handles that were replaced were not painted and a panel was missing from the car, when I stated that he had no comment. When I drove off after purchasing I tried to get the navigation to work, is was non operational, even though the inspection report said it was working. I ended up driving back home which was about 350miles because the dealership was closed and the car was under factory warranty so I just told myself that I could go to a local dealership to get it fixed. The next day I get a phone call from JT saying that he left 5 sets of keys in the car and that I need to come back ASAP to return them, knowing that I live 350 miles a way. I came back and asked about the navigation, they just told me to reset it, when I get back home I come to realize that ID6 EVO is not able to be reset, so that didn't fix the issue. When I look under the car I see the car wasn't in a minor accident as the carfax stated, there was a lot of undercarriage damage, bent braces, missing bolts and broken clips, some outer panels were being held on by random screws that I found hidden. The Rex engine was misfiring and leaking oil throwing a check engine light. I could've returned the vehicle but I drove over the mileage just to get home. I'm just saddened that I felt ripped off that none of this under carriage info was stated on the inspection report. I can expect this behavior from a small no name dealership but not a reputable BMW dealership. More

The main reason I bought the car was my interactions with this dealer in particular, Scott and Steven. I have not typically been a fan of dealers and had some negative experiences in Southern California. I f this dealer in particular, Scott and Steven. He easily established rapport and was genuine and authentic with his interactions both during and after the purchase. I truly appreciated the little details, including the celebration when I drove the car off the lot it was very special. I sent the video to a couple of my friends and they were blown away that the staff would go to that length to celebrate a car purchase. I very much appreciate his continuing to follow up to make sure everything is OK with the car. I have been back twice since I bought the car and I feel very welcomed by all of the staff when I came in now. I will highly recommend this dealer especially Scott to friends and family . It has been an incredibly positive experience from start to finish with both sales and service. More

I was a loyal Slo BMW customer who has purchased and leased over 11 BMW's, but the last several years (since new ownership took over) I've noticed customer service has gone down hill. The last straw leased over 11 BMW's, but the last several years (since new ownership took over) I've noticed customer service has gone down hill. The last straw for me was when I went to turn in my current lease and wanted to purchase the vehicle. First, they didn't even want to handle the buyout. They wanted me to mail it in to BMW. I told them I did not want to do that because I wanted to pay the sales tax so I wouldn't have to go into DMV later. Slo BMW continued to tell me that I could only do my pay off via mail until I threatened to call BMW corporate and complain. When they finally relented and agreed that I could come in and pay off my car, they told me I would be required to pay a $995 inspection fee...on my own car that I was keeping! After telling them that was ridiculous and I was not paying an inspection fee, I left and promptly called BMW of Santa Maria and asked their process for lease buyouts. (I did not tell them what Slo bmw’s process was) Not only did Santa Maria BMW not charge me an inspection fee, but they also waived document fees and emailed e-sign documents to me so I didn't have to go to Santa Maria. That is the kind of customer service that brings buyer loyalty. Sadly, it seems that Slo BMW only cares about their bottom line now, not the customer experience. So if you're in the market for a BMW, I would suggest you skip San Luis Obispo BMW and go to Santa Maria BMW if you want the kind of excellent service that is supposed to go with the purchase of a luxury vehicle. More
