I want to specifically call out the sales manager involved in our experience, because the lack of professionalism was just as concerning as the condition of the vehicle. After driving over 2 hours involved in our experience, because the lack of professionalism was just as concerning as the condition of the vehicle. After driving over 2 hours to see a “Certified” vehicle that was in unacceptable condition, not once did the manager apologize for the situation or acknowledge the time we wasted based on how the car was represented. The response was dismissive and filled with excuses instead of accountability. What made this even worse was the follow-up interaction. The very next week, I saw this same manager again in Madison after we ultimately still chose to purchase a different vehicle from the dealership. Instead of acting professionally, he avoided us entirely—wouldn’t greet us, wouldn’t shake hands, and wouldn’t acknowledge us as customers. At one point, he walked past me, shook his head, gave a visible look of disapproval, and then went behind the desk without saying a word. This was after we had already completed a purchase. That behavior is not just unprofessional—it’s unacceptable in any customer-facing role, especially in sales leadership. To be clear: we were told the original vehicle had no business being sold in its condition, yet it was still presented as “certified.” That disconnect alone should raise concerns for anyone considering doing business here. If there’s feedback for the management team: Own the situation. Acknowledge mistakes. Treat customers with basic respect—even when conversations are uncomfortable. Transparency, professionalism, respect and trust equals more than a transaction. It translated into trusted advisor. We unsuccessfully shopped across several states from the DC metro area through Wisconsin more than a transaction. It translated into trusted advisor. We unsuccessfully shopped across several states from the DC metro area through Wisconsin and even northern Illinois. One Va dealer told us advertised prices were “ only to get you in the door and not real”. A relationship with Michael and Russ Darrow Kia with a phone call, though brief that phone call established the confidence that we could expect trustworthy people who would treat us with respect transparency and become more than just a single transaction with someone we could begin to count on for a longer term repeat business. We were able to identify a vehicle make an appointment and it was ready waiting for us when we flew in. So far the experience has been one of our better automotive buying experiences ever. They were fair and they were nice I will strongly recommend Michael and Russ Darrow Kia More

Sorry this was a little bit late Michael. I actually originally was putting a review on the day after the sale, but I was having glitching issue trying to get it posted, and the review I wrot I actually originally was putting a review on the day after the sale, but I was having glitching issue trying to get it posted, and the review I wrote went completely away. So here it is for you… Can’t say enough here about the dealership and the employees that I had the pleasure of working with. Michael is exceptional, he is very personable and addressed any of my concerns or questions. Normally, I would refuse to have a dealer staff go with me on a test drive and just not do business with them if they try to refuse to allow me to test drive by myself. But Michael was personable. He was being himself, and I felt quite comfortable just having normal conversations as friends would back-and-forth. That’s why I felt comfortable with him in the car with me for a test drive and not feeling like I had somebody just uncomfortably staring over my shoulders not being able to take in the experience of getting everything I need out of test driving a vehicle to purchase. Myself, Michael and Devon were able to smoothly go through the process of pre sale conversation questions or concerns, paperwork, documents, etc. casually instead of being cooped up in a little office sitting at a desk. The priority they put for getting my vehicle transferred from Appleton to Madison that same day and able to take delivery of the vehicle showed that they valued both of ours time and expectations set. I couldn’t say enough about Devon as well. He addressed and handled most of my concerns, professionally and appropriately. While I know part of his job is to try to make sales for things such as warranty and vehicle protection products, some of them can be presented with vague incomplete information until questioned and addressed by myself. Devon appreciated any of my halts in acceptance of the products he sold me. He addressed every single one of my concerns and elaborated on all of the additional information that I needed to finally agree to the sale of some other products he sold me to protect my vehicle purchase. Thank you to whichever employees took the several hour trip to Appleton and back to transfer my vehicle for me. Your time and dedication to promptly and efficiently deliver my vehicle goes with much appreciation. Honesty and being able to be personable and casual go a very long way and I appreciate everything that you guys did for me and selling me my daughter‘s first vehicle becoming a new licensed driver. I would definitely come back and do business with you guys again and will continue to put a word out to friends and family whenever they are in the market for a vehicle, to consider visiting your dealership and buying a vehicle from you.
