I had been shopping for a new vehicle for a while, not really sure what I wanted and was keeping my options open. My boyfriend recently bought a brand new 2021 Hyundai Sonata from Universal Hyundai. I had really sure what I wanted and was keeping my options open. My boyfriend recently bought a brand new 2021 Hyundai Sonata from Universal Hyundai. I had driven a used 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe earlier in the day at a different dealership and really liked it, but the car had a few things missing that I didn’t like so my boyfriend brought me to this dealership to look at brand new Santa Fe’s. I previously had a 2017 Kia Soul and was wanting something bigger. He bought his car from Jason S and Frankie. Upon entering the dealership we were greeted by Jason, and I immediately liked him, he was very welcoming, friendly and down to earth. Not the typical salesman. I told him what I was looking for, what I expected in a car payment. He was great, listened to everything, talked to me like a normal person, got to know me and not just about the car. He did whatever he could to get what I wanted and I truly felt like he was there for ME. I test drove the 2020 Santa Fe and loved it, so we began the buying the process. The first guy to come and help with financing, I didn’t get a name, but I did not care for him at all. I felt like he didn’t listen, wasn’t friendly, and was just there to make a sale. Came back and told me it was impossible to get what I expected. My boyfriend and I got up to walk out and Frankie who had assisted my boyfriend in his purchase stepped in. He asked me what it would take for me to buy the car and make a deal, I told him and made it very clear what I expected, and he MADE IT HAPPEN!! He went above and beyond and I was very impressed! If I were to return to the dealership in the future I would only want to deal with Jason and Frankie. Jon in the finance department was great when it came to signing the paperwork and explaining everything clearly as well. More

Typical Dealership The salespeople and managers treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. The only thing you can do, if you want to buy a particular vehicl The salespeople and managers treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. The only thing you can do, if you want to buy a particular vehicle, is agree with them. If you don't agree with them, they will simply keep repeating themselves as though they have been programmed with the information that the dealership wants you to hear. Since I had been searching for a particular make and model of car, and had my own financing, I went to the dealership. They told me my financing was wrong. I told them I had correct financing. They just kept telling me I was wrong and they could not accept my Finance Company Draft. I tried to tell them that all of the papers were properly documented. They still told me I was wrong. Once you accept what they are telling you (even though it is wrong), you can then begin the buying process. They ultimately, wanted to write up the contract on the car at a higher interest rate. As they put it, "we are not making any money on the car, so we have to make something on the backend by financing it. I relented and let them finance my car. My finance company told me to do so. In two weeks my finance company will refinance the loan at a lower rate. The dealership will get credit for the sale, but they won.t make anything on the backend. Fortunately my finance company worked with me, so I wouldn't have to pay the higher interest rate the Dealership "basically" forced me into doing, just so I could get the car I wanted. More
