Mr. Patnaude, I am surprised by your review as I would have thought you would have recalled with our dealings over those many months, that we are very concerned with your satisfaction. Unfortunately, we ran into an issue with the manufacturer that is very uncommon. The vehicle that we originally ordered for you is still in inspection status on this very day that I am responding (08/26/19). And when we inquire about it, we receive very little information. Our salesperson stayed in touch with you on a weekly basis in hopes of giving you encouraging news. We offered other options that were on the ground, just in case you needed the vehicle right away, but you wanted a particular vehicle, rightfully so. You displayed great patience, which I thanked you for many times. When you ordered your vehicle, they had just started producing the new Hybrid XSE, so I did not have many options to use, but on the last phone call we spoke together on, I explained that I would try to make a change to another vehicle that was being produced for the dealership since they were starting to trickle in. We got lucky and caught an incoming vehicle in time to make the changes that you wanted and it was produced for you. This wasn't something that magically happened, it was an avenue that opened up after some time. When we spoke on the phone I offered you the all-weather mats as a goodwill gesture, for your patience, you seemed happy with this offer. Then when you came in to pick up your new vehicle, I then offered to keep your trade-in value the same, since the inconvenience was clearly not your fault, without you asking, because the value had gone down at least $300 due to the elapsed time and additional mileage. This saved you hundreds of dollars between the two goodwill gestures. You then asked for the all-weather cargo mat also, which I declined. Since we are a best price dealership, we work off of low profit margins, which I'm sure was one of the reasons you chose to do business with us in the first place. As far as the speaker, Scott certainly did not ignore you and merely send you to the service department! Did you forget that he took the time to go through every single speaker, listening to your music, and neither of you could fina any distortion? When it was discovered that one of your audio books had the distortion, he had no choice but to transfer you to the service department. It was not due to lack of concern but lack of ability to correct that one item. These are machines and sometimes these things happen, I'm sorry it happened to you and so soon, especially with how long you waited for this vehicle, it is very unfortunate. The service department is just following protocol, in order to file for a warranty repair. I spoke to my service manager, If you would like, instead of waiting for the part to come in, we can take a speaker out of a brand new one that I have in stock and swap it into yours and then when the part comes in, I will put it in my stock unit, also if need be, we could pick up your vehicle and then drop it back off to you.
