Would have expected of BMW I just had a very disappointing customer service experience with BMW North America that will result in me not purchasing the BMW brand going forward. I just had a very disappointing customer service experience with BMW North America that will result in me not purchasing the BMW brand going forward. And my service experiences with BMW of Sarasota have led me to rate them as "Average" at best. In just the few service visits I've made to the dealership under warranty, I encountered issues with service advisors' unsatisfactory handling of my visits, not keeping me updated on the work being done on my car and lack of notification when the car and parts were ready for pickup. Service Manager Greg Jones seems to be customer focused but my overall experience with their Service Department is below my expectations for a BMW dealership and not much better than I've had from other dealerships. More

Excessive window noise Sarasota BMW exceeded my expectations . Window noise problems were corrected and service manager Greg Jones and staff knew what to do and got it done. I have three Beemers and Sarasota has excellent technicians. I also appreciate being contacted by "corporate" after initial purchase. They took my constructive ideas regarding what works best and what needs rethinking for X3 buyers. My contact person recorded my ideas and encouraged further contact. Many thanks.Rod Karpinski P.S. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!!!!! I purchased my vehicle new from this dealership (2017) and brought it in very EVERY service required and even other things like alignment etc. The ma I purchased my vehicle new from this dealership (2017) and brought it in very EVERY service required and even other things like alignment etc. The maintenance/service was covered for first 3 years or 35,000 miles...these visits were oil changes and supposedly checking my vehicle out for problems or issues. I had the car in right at the 35,000 miles in July of this year (2018). Not one time on any "check up" did the service department mention that my brakes were getting worn or that I might want to have the brakes checked soon... NOTHING AT ALL!!!!! Then I heard a noise around 40,000 miles and took it in. Now I needed new brakes and rotors and around $1,000 with worth of service. Now of course it was no longer covered however the issue I had was why wasn't this mentioned before? I might also add that every time I went for my service I had to deal with the service manager by the end of the visit for some problem so I already had his name and spoke with him this past visit. I was more concerned with the fact that my vehicle needed brakes this soon AND I was never clued in. I left and went to another place to have my brakes repaired (a very reputable place that my husband has his Porsche serviced) and I was told I had absolutely no brakes left and that this doesn't just "happen" it has been an issue the brakes don't just all of a sudden all go out. BMW of Sarasota service department and BMW itself is a complete scam in my opinion. I have never had a vehicle to need brakes at 40,000 miles first of all and second of all a dealership like this in a retirement area like Sarasota Florida needs to be trusted, and there isn't any way I would or could recommend them to anyone. I hope that this review will save one person their SAFETY because my safety was jeopardized in a scam because they didn't want to cover it while it was under warranty. I also phoned the owner of the dealership or who I was told was the owner and explained this to their assistant and gave them a week to get back to me in any way before I began my negative reviews. That is how much they care. More
