Generation 2 Generation of friendly honest Sales & Service. Well I started looking about 5 months ago or so. I have never purchased a car myself at 75 years old. So studying all the dealerships in a 50 mile r Well I started looking about 5 months ago or so. I have never purchased a car myself at 75 years old. So studying all the dealerships in a 50 mile radius I watched and tried to learn. I only knew the basics, like what color the car was and maybe if the brand was on the hood.... Trying to get a smaller, easier to park car a rear view camera was a must. In the end I stuck with the GMC products as I have been driving a Envoy and also liked jeeps. The Terrain was picked because it was shorter and higher off the ground than many other smaller models. (I don't want to shovel so had to be able to drive thru snow and higher off ground to sit. Have driven a lot of trucks to height and wide windshield were important. My patient salesperson, he was great. He also drives a terrain and could verify its uniqueness as a cross-over vehicle. Kyle White was terrific and each of the Shields family members and Teresa Smith so easy to talk to and figure out financing. You definitely are treated like family and well worth your drive to deal with a place that does everything they can to help you and treat you and your vehicle top rate. My Dad, a farmer from Gibson City bought his car there and so it felt like home to go back to his choice in dealers.. My grandson is driving now & I hope he will go there where I know he will be treated with honesty and good service. All in all a good experience . Thanks Shield's Auto team...you don't clown around when it comes to cars.....I am a clown of over 25years and I need a car I can depend on..The spacious little cross over car will hold my clown prop trunks under the hatchback. It is high and you can easily stand under it when its raining or snowing to load and unload items. More spacious 2nd seat was anther plus on this model over others....... I hear their ads on WBGL radio and at the newstime on TV, and think to myself, I know them, I hope others will so they can keep on keeping on what they have done so well for decades. More

My current car was worth less than 1,000, it needed 7,0 I contacted Shields and to be honest was less than hopeful that they would be able to help me. My current car was worth less than 1,000, it needed 7,000 worth of work and I still owed 5,000 on the loan. With John, Teresa and Greg's help they were able to get me approved for a brand new 2017 Ford Focus and keep my payments reasonable. It feels good to have a new car with such good warranties! More

John was not pushy and we call later on in the day saying we wanted the truck. John was very pleasant and introduced us to the owner and management. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly. They made a tough situation so very easy I was shopping with a parent for a new vehicle which is a daunting task when your parents begin to need assistance. We had looked at multiple dealers I was shopping with a parent for a new vehicle which is a daunting task when your parents begin to need assistance. We had looked at multiple dealerships and even tried the internet sales departments at most. A friend suggested we check with Shields. Having never been there we figured we would go look and see what they had. We found the perfect vehicle and figured we would ask about it. The sales staff didn’t mob us like at the other dealerships we’d been to. We met Terry and instantly he put my fathers mind at ease. The whole process was painless and efficient. I am NOT a fan of dealerships but this was a very easy trip. Shields staff was helpful and courteous at every turn. The truck we bought was spotless the bank paperwork explained without the typical dealer sales pitch and we decided to purchase that day. A difficult situation was made very easy by Terry and his surrounding staff!!! If you’re not a dealership kind of person I recommend giving Shields and Terry a shot. More

Eveyone at the Shields Auto Rantoul was beyond nice and more than helpful. Our salesman Kyle White was as easy going as they come. He handled our trade-in and purchase almost effortlessly. He was open to negotiations and never posed a negative vibe to my request. It was more like he was a step ahead of me when I came to my "demands". My trade-in was more than fairly offered and the transition from old to new was as fast and painless as I've ever experienced. If your looking for a vehicle, it's worth the drive to Rantoul.
