Took delivery of a new 2025 grand cherokee limited, apparently the vehicle was not thoroughly checked out by the sales staff since the stop/start system was non functional. I was assured that all i had apparently the vehicle was not thoroughly checked out by the sales staff since the stop/start system was non functional. I was assured that all i had to do was drive the vehicle and the system would start functioning..this turned out to be false since we had to schedule a service appointment. We had to wait 2 weeks for the appointment, which was scheduled for 9:30 am in the morning, at that point i was informed that it would be a few days before they could get to it! The service dept contacted me 2 days later to tell me they couldn’t look at it for another 2 days . Not being happy with that, i complained to service that i didn’t find that acceptable. At that point the service manager made an attempt to to have it looked at immediately and they found the problem and repaired it! I stlll had to wait another day to pick the vehicle, but so far so good! The service dept did resolve the issue, and explained why they couldn’t do it sooner, but the whole thing could have been avoided if the vehicle was properly checked out before delivery! The dealership did provide us with a loaner vehicle during the process! More
