The $40 line item you referenced is not a customer charge. It is an internal charge between our sales and detail departments and should not have appeared on your customer-facing paperwork. It also should have been properly explained at delivery, and we regret that it was not. Additionally, the “as-is” acknowledgment you mentioned is a standard purchase disclosure used on all vehicle transactions and does not affect Hyundai’s factory warranty or coverage on a new vehicle in any way. That said, we understand how unfamiliar wording — especially when combined with unclear documentation — can raise concern. We appreciate you calling this out.
