Mr. Hanscom was condescending when discussing the issue I had where my forester left me stranded in Delaware the day prior. My vehicle had just been at Herb Gordon a few days earlier, where everything suppo had where my forester left me stranded in Delaware the day prior. My vehicle had just been at Herb Gordon a few days earlier, where everything supposedly was fine and the battery had been inspected. Yet, less than a week later I was stranded with a dead battery after driving 180 miles. He told me I just have left the interior lights on…because I am a woman and that was the only reason he could think of. Yet when the battery was visually inspected the case had battery acid on the points and the case-an indicator that it was leaking, for some time. Subaru recommendation is to remove a battery that indicates leaking-which Mr. Hanscom did not, he stated it was merely acetone buildup on the points. Points that are supposed to be checked and cleaned each time the battery is checked for an oil change. I have been witness to his arrogant and demeaning manner to women, not only myself but others before. It’s clear that the directive to the mechanics service team is do the minimum not the complete job. Four times my vehicle has been brought in with disappointing results because the complete job wasn’t done the first time: a similar battery issue eventually came to replacement, a AC unit not properly inspected that required multiple visits to resolve, and a lift gate that required five trips to replace the sensor. My service consisted of updating software-which appears to have been a recommendation dated for September 2022. Yet my vehicle has been in twice and the software update wasn’t performed until I was left stranded 100 miles from home. So needless to, live I love my Forester, I am far from impressed with Mr. Hanscom’s management of service. My service advisor has always shown respect and understanding-something several of other individuals have not-because they as men know better… I am sure I am not the first woman who has felt this way. One service rep even told me my hand cream created the peeling of the steering wheel leather-when in reality-it was a known problem on my model year. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. More

The Service Department at Herb Gordon Subaru is the best of any dealership I've dealt with in 53 years. The people in Service personify the best in knowledge, professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and ho of any dealership I've dealt with in 53 years. The people in Service personify the best in knowledge, professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and honesty. Mr. Khlebnikov has become as much a friend as an advisor. I've never had a complaint of any kind in q4 years of association as a Herb Girdon service client. More

Every negative association I have had with buying a car has been cured by this dealership. Starting with my salesperson Debbie Colt. From day one, she had a no-hassle but helpful attitude. I'm hesitant to list all of the ways that she made the experience wonderful, only because I want you to experience it for yourself. I will be going to see Debbie when I'm ready for my next car. The entire team at HGS has met or exceeded every expectation I have had and then some. There were a few minor hiccups along the way, but they addressed them quickly and sometimes better than I would have asked. This dealership and especially Debbie met my highest recommendation. 10/10 More

I took my 2018 Subaru Legacy / 3. 6R Limited in for a problem with the radio / head unit. After inspection it was found to have an internal problem. The radio / head unit was replaced 6R Limited in for a problem with the radio / head unit. After inspection it was found to have an internal problem. The radio / head unit was replaced per a warranty extension. Vitaliy Khlebnikov and Ken Hanscom were both very helpful and took care of my issue right away. Very happy with the service. Work done in one day 8/25/22. More
