Hi CORYDRAHOS, We’re sorry to hear you left your experience feeling frustrated and without confidence in the process. We understand that an intermittent drivability concern can be especially frustrating, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. We did want to clarify a few points regarding the repair. After the initial repair did not resolve the concern, we continued diagnosing the vehicle, provided a loaner, and credited the approximately $1,100 previously paid toward the subsequent repair. During the injector replacement, an injector broke and damaged the cylinder head. Lester Glenn accepted responsibility for that damage and covered the engine removal and cylinder-head replacement. Once the engine was removed, several unrelated existing issues were also identified. We provided an estimate to address those items at a reduced cost because the engine was already out, but those additional repairs were not required and were ultimately declined. The injector repair itself carried the applicable 1-year/12,000-mile parts warranty. While we could stand behind the repair and its warranty, we could not guarantee that an older vehicle with approximately 117,000 miles would never experience another drivability concern in the future. Most importantly, after the repair was completed, you road-tested the vehicle with our technician and confirmed that the original hesitation concern had been corrected. We regret that, despite the considerable time and resources our team invested in diagnosing and repairing the vehicle, we were unable to leave you with a more positive impression of your experience at Lester Glenn Subaru in Toms River.
