My son was shopping for his first car, to be financed in no small part by his own savings - he had his eye on a Subaru CrossTrek, so we pursued that avenue - It was an absolute nightmare - after two weeks o no small part by his own savings - he had his eye on a Subaru CrossTrek, so we pursued that avenue - It was an absolute nightmare - after two weeks of the dealer promising "yes, we can get you exactly what you want for the price we agreed on" (and holding our deposit), and coming through with a car that had features we didn't want at a price we didn't agree on, my son had had enough. After driving my wife's recently purchased pre-owned 2010 XC60, he decided to work with Smythe - within a day he had his own pre-owned XC60, at a great price. So, why do we deal with Smythe? Quite simply: They are straightforward, welcoming, honest, forthright, and morally upright; they give you the straight story, will give price breaks when they can, and just as importantly, provide excellent service after the sale. During this particular sale, Dave Graham and Kevin Flanagan provided excellent insight and support, and worked hard to restore my son's faith in auto dealers - I do believe the succeeded, and with flying colors! Alex Kattwinkel was great at explaining the various financing options to my son, and telling him about the extra options he *didn't* want, as well as advising him on those he might want. It was actually fun to by a car with these guys! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! More

Kevin was very accommodating, providing us with opportunities to test drive all 4 vehicles as well as pointing out a couple of others that might also fit our requirements. The entire staff was very helpful as they shuttled cars from the offsite lot to the main dealership, switched plates and gave us a great deal of attention. After my son drove seven cars we settled on a 2011 Jetta, reached a very fair price, and the paperwork was handled very quickly. It isn't often that you have a chance to work with people at a car dealership that will give you the time and attention without a hard sell. I know a number of other acquaintances that have bought multiple cars at Smythe and all are extremely satisfied. More

I hail from a family-owned Lincoln-Mercy dealership where my father was the Service Manager. After his retirement, I dreaded the thought of purchasing a vehicle elsewhere. Working with Kevin was better than working with family. And we say that with authority since there's a Volvo dealer in our (distant) family.
