Backwards and lengthy process of buying The process was in my opinion backwards from the very beginning. Shawn started negotiating the price and trade in before i was even able to see a car or what they had to offer. He explained that the reason there was a discrepancy regarding the trade-in value in the KBB online estimate (which i got on Jeep's website at home) and the actual "realistic one" that you get when you enter their dealership, is that the online numbers are just meant to lure you in. I actually think he really meant it. Lance came in to help and place us back on track. I did come in very ready to proceed with car purchase (lease), but this got almost completely derailed, I felt at some point I should just get up and leave. In any event... As i said, i wish we started from looking at what their cars were all about, not from negotiating a price on a car i haven't even seen. That is simply an odd sequence. The overall process became so lengthy, I have never spent this much time buying or leasing a car (and this is my 10th car i own / lease in my lifetime). The main reason for such lengthy process must be some kind of dysfunctional organization in this dealership. And Shawn was not really explaining well why it was taking so long so it felt even worse. He left me to sign a bunch of papers without ever going over them to explain what exactly i was signing. Eventually i went out to transfer stuff from my old car to the new one. Shawn went out few minutes later to transfer the plates, and came back to inform me that in the meantime i got a parking ticket on my old car as the meter expired. But the best of all is his solution to this problem - he gave me a different window decal to mail back and try to dispute the ticket. Do you know, Shawn, this is illegal? In any event, eventually we made it to the finance guy named Sean Rickard who seemed really on top of things and made me feel reassured that i was not in a rabbit hole of some kind or some parallel universe. After that, back to the rabbit hole, again a long wait to finalize everything, Shawn walking in circles and eventually i was getting really tired of the whole thing, when he finally was ready to show me how to start and operate the car i leased... After that, another stretch of a long wait to get the registration done. At this point, Lance was very apologetic and promised i will get free oil changes when i come for service in the future - let's see whether this got recorded anywhere. They probably know how painful this process was, since i never got a followup call from anyone from the dealership - shouldn't this be a very basic customer service practice? More

Great I had an issue with my water pump and I had the car towed in for free thanks to the Chrysler roadside service. I then got the car back with in hours. The service department is fantastic and Brian made sure to keep me posted frequently. The young lady in the front was also a pleasure and helpful. There’s a dodge dealership closer to my house but I would rather travel to the bayside location. More

Twice bitten 2015 I leased a Cherokee. Three times I was stranded because of computer failure. Once while driving on an expressway while the computer updated. Twic 2015 I leased a Cherokee. Three times I was stranded because of computer failure. Once while driving on an expressway while the computer updated. Twice I was stranded because the lift gate failed. Not to mention the policy of Bayside Jeep to not transport broken down leased autos and had to pay out of pocket for AAA when the computer decided to update while i was bringing my sister home from the hospital. When the lease was up I was disillusioned with Cherokee and went to Compass still having faith in Jeep. First there is a gas issue. Mpg is lousy and some pumps spit gas back at you while fueling with the Compass’ tank opening. Twice i had to cancel my appointments because i was doused with gas. The Compass recently had a starter issue. The policy of Bayside Jeep is no courtesy cars so I was dropped off at my home. For two days I didn’t have a vehicle so I lost a client and didn’t get to visit my Sick mother. When I called Corporate they said it would take another two days to consider a rental. Thanks to Enterprise and Better Body they got they to corporate and I got a rental for the rest of the week. Patricia in corporate resolved my issue along with Josh at the service center who updated me constantly and my car was returned hopefully fixed. I’m currently looking for a new service center and definitely will not come back to Jeep for another lease. More
