Chris Veliz was so helpful in providing us all of the information we needed to feel comfortable purchasing our new RAV4. We never felt like we were being tricked, which is how we have often felt at other information we needed to feel comfortable purchasing our new RAV4. Yesterday, I woke up and was finally ready to buy the car I had decided to purchase years ago. I have borrowed a 2020 RAV4 for road trips. It is perfect for the long haul. There is room for lots of gear, and I had decided to purchase years ago. I have borrowed a 2020 RAV4 for road trips. It is perfect for the long haul. There is room for lots of gear, and I can always carve out a place to nap. The mileage is excellent, yet the vehicle is big enough to feel safe, even at dawn among the semis. Clearly, I didn’t need a salesperson to help me decide what I wanted. The thing that was holding me back was the haggling, the upselling of things I might not understand and don’t need or want. I was also very nervous about test-driving a vehicle in traffic with a stranger—all this worry for naught. I found the vehicle online at Toyota of Naperville, held my breath, connected with them via email, and made an appointment. It was the best decision I have ever made involving a car. I walked into the beautiful showroom and was met by Ron Steele. His smile was kind, and his demeanor was welcoming. He explained all the steps involved in buying the car. Within a few minutes, I was comfortable enough to confess I was nervous about driving the vehicle. Ron had a solution. We jumped in the car, and he drove us to the dealer’s private test drive area. He asked the right questions along the way, and we found common ground. It felt like the beginning of a friendship. I drove around the test area as he pointed out the car's features. It was comfortable and informative. Ron drove us back to the showroom and we worked through the remaining steps. I never felt pressure or confusion about the process. It took a while because buying a car is a big deal, but I never felt scared about trying to accomplish the daunting task alone. I knew I had someone by my side. The price was the price. I was offered upgrades, but there was no pressure. When the process was complete, he led me to a glass garage, where my beautiful new car was presented as the gift that it was. The gift that IS! I literally had tears in my eyes. How many people can say they cried tears of happiness when they bought a car? As a single older woman, this was a relief and surprising twist. This car will last a long time, so I don’t know if I will buy another, but I will send my kids, my friends, and my neighbors too. If you are going to buy a Toyota, go to Naperville and ask for Ron.
