After receiving serviced car I saw no need for replacement. Insurance fraud? More

scheduled an oil change with BMW of Sarasota a month in advance and arrived on time for my appointment. After waiting over an hour, someone finally came over to speak with me. I assumed it was to let me kn advance and arrived on time for my appointment. After waiting over an hour, someone finally came over to speak with me. I assumed it was to let me know the service was done — only to find out that they hadn’t even started it. The explanation? A lot of people had shown up that morning needing oil changes before the Thanksgiving holiday, and they were trying to squeeze them in because they were traveling. The issue is: I had an appointment. They didn’t. That’s the whole point of scheduling — especially when your time matters. Then I was told I would have to leave my car there for the rest of the day and come back later. I specifically scheduled a service appointment to avoid needing a loaner or arranging transportation. But when I asked about a loaner, they couldn’t offer one because they had already given them all away. To make matters worse, during my wait someone approached me about a windshield replacement. They suggested I call my insurance company and claim the damage was “just discovered today” — essentially asking me to commit insurance fraud. That was not only unprofessional but extremely concerning. Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and, frankly, shady. I expected better communication, scheduling integrity, and professionalism — especially from a BMW dealership. More
