Bought an 2019 Acura ILX from this dealer. While, it was used it came with a Certified Pre-Owned warranty. I bought the car in December, but since then we have put less than 700 miles on the car and it dev used it came with a Certified Pre-Owned warranty. I bought the car in December, but since then we have put less than 700 miles on the car and it developed a pretty dramatic shudder at idle - as if it were thinking about stalling. It had a slight shudder the day we bought it, but it got worse even though we weren't really driving the car. Brought it in to the dealer. The service advisor later called me and said there is nothing mechanically wrong with it and the mechanic said that's how it's supposed to run and I should expect that in an ILX but that wouldn't be the case in a higher-end model like the TLX. He then told me that we could try cleaning the injectors and maybe that would fix the problem. -- Well, is there a problem or isn't there one? He said this was a maintenance issue. The net is that I paid ~$180 to have the injectors cleaned and that fixed the problem that the mechanic said didn't exist. But I'm very unhappy that: (1) They sort of suggested I should have bought the more expensive model if I didn't want that shudder. (2) They said "Everything is operating as it should" but then they were happy to sell me something that is not covered by the warranty to make it operate even better. (3) Doesn't seem fair that a car I bought with CPO warranty should need maintenance after less than 700 miles. More
