Was at this dealership on 4/17/24 for a 9:30am APPOINTMENT which was made a week or so prior. Upon arrival 30 minutes early, I was like 6 or so cars backed up in the service line outside and knew APPOINTMENT which was made a week or so prior. Upon arrival 30 minutes early, I was like 6 or so cars backed up in the service line outside and knew I was in trouble but went inside to see. Was told some xxxxxxxx story that two technicians were caught up in an Interstate 81 north traffic jam. This road work on I-81 has been going on for well over a year so people traveling it should plan accordingly and take another route to get to work. This caused several people to wait for 2+ hours for simple oil changes because I asked some waiting what they were here for. Two of us were given loaner vehicles which took 30 minutes to arrange and then told I would be called when it was ready. I was also told the vehicle needed to be filled back to half a tank yet the form they gave me showed it was FULL and the mileage was 200+ miles off what it truly was. The service person was polite and respectful but I thought I would be here an hour maybe for an oil change with an appointment but it turned into 3.5 hours when I returned shortly after 1pm. This process tied me up virtually my whole day. This is the second time I’ve run into time issues with Southern Team, the other was for a state inspection with an appointment that took several weeks past the due date to get worked in. If this dealership is going to offer FREE state inspections and oil changes as part of the deal for buying here, then they need to have enough staff on hand to accommodate and NOT make people drive around for several weeks with an expired inspection. When this 2022 Hyundai Palisade of ours is SOLD or TRADED we are done with this dealership unless they get their xxxx together. More
