There was a no pressure sales experience, and I would highly recommend their dealership to other RV buyers. We've already taken a trip with our new Forest River FR3, and we love it! Amazing experience! Love the Windjammer! My wife and I are fairly new to the camping scene. After our first purchase (not from Dodd) we discovered pretty quickly the trailer was too small, es My wife and I are fairly new to the camping scene. After our first purchase (not from Dodd) we discovered pretty quickly the trailer was too small, especially if we were stuck inside due to weather conditions. We started the search process for something a bit larger that would meet our needs. We discovered finding a dealer who was honest and helpful was more difficult than we thought it would be. We were just about ready to give up when my wife found a travel trailer that she was really interested in located at your dealership in Yorktown. I spoke with Shane to make sure the trailer was still available. He told me that it was but he was not working the following day when we wanted to see it, but to ask for Mike and he would find someone to help us. We drove about 80 miles to take a look at it. We met with Mike and he introduced us to Greg. It was the beginning of the best experience we have had with an RV dealer. Greg was extremely knowledgeable. My wife and I both liked the trailer very much, so we traded in our 2015 Surveyor and purchased a 2018 Rockwood Windjammer. About a week later we went down to pick it up. Arnold was extremely helpful and covered every detail in closing the deal. Richard gave us a very thorough explanation of everything on the trailer and showed us how everything operated. We did find one small problem and an air vent had not been installed. We were surprised both items were taken care while we were in the parts department with Rob finding a few items we needed. Everyone we met at Dodd RV, from the receptionist who greeted us, to the service technician (who interrupted his lunch to help unhitch our old trailer), to the parts department for their knowledge, all the way to the sales staff and manager, all were more than happy to help us. As my wife said “Do you know the difference in a house and a home? All of the other RV dealers are houses; Dodd RV is like coming home”. We will do all of our future business with them, and will recommend them to our friends. We would like to thank all of the folks at Dodd RV Yorktown for making our purchase so enjoyable. They made us comfortable and relaxed and the manager was able to give us a great deal. During our pick up appointment, Arnold reviewed all the financial details with us and was very personable throughout the entire transaction. Each person we interacted with during the walk thru and purchasing of parts was so friendly and knowledgeable. We never felt rushed and had all our questions answered. Our Sales person, Shane was accommodating when showing available inventory at the Yorktown location...we did not receive any information from the Southside location when trying to decide on our RV and the actal one purchased was one we asked to see and not one he had listed for us within our price range even though it worked perfectly...probably just a miscommunication. Our service orientation was most appreciated for new RV owners and more helpful than just making sure the RV was clean and in working order before leaving the lot. There were a couple small things that need to be repaired such as a torn screen door, broken window blind and some interior trim needing nails...we understood because we purchased used these were items we needed to take care of and not major so we will. Overall very happy with our purchase and with Dodd RV...we went straight form the lot to the campground! More
