Daniel- We value our clients and look to maintain relationships. Customers get great deals and great service. There is no written documentation that we were guaranteed to get all penalties waived. Although, we did reduce your bill by almost $1000 by making phone calls on your behalf.

DANIELHETTRICK responded

There is written documentation (signed contract) explicitly stating that the customer owes $0 on previous lease. The presumption from Acura of Pembroke Pines was that they would pay the last payment (as is documented) and then have the remaining mileage waived. Acura of Pembroke Pines failed to contact Lease Maturity and have that waiver completed, so the lease was transferred to Lease Termination who have less flexibility in waiving fees. Acura of Pembroke Pines' response to their own failure is to attempt to foist those fees back onto the customer. Since the deal for the new 2020 RDX was contingent upon waiving any fees remaining from the lease and that $0 due from customer was memorialized in the contract, it falls on Acura of Pembroke Pines to work with Acura internally and have this resolved. Your argument that Acura of Pembroke Pines would accept return of a lease and then allow the customer to drive off your lot in a new vehicle while still owing money on that lease is patently absurd. If any monies were owed by customer, they would have been collected immediately or accounted for in the finance terms of the new vehicle contract. As that contract explicitly shows customer owes $0 on previous lease, your argument contradicts itself.

That is incorrect. The only reduction resulted from a 3-way call that I initiated with Kendrick from Acura Financial Services on 7/1. You didn't "make that call on my behalf". You have made no effort as prior to that it had been a full month since you had even contacted Acura Financial Services and even then their records indicate that it was only to inquire about the balance, not to negotiate it down or attempt to resolve the issue. Since this issue began in February, Acura of Pembroke Pines has only put effort into trying to save face on review sites like this and the Better Business Bureau website (BBB CASE#: 90559469). My remaining commitment was $0 on the previous lease as per the contract on the new vehicle. The new vehicle deal was contingent on the fees being waived. Ryan Reeves made the verbal commitment in front of witnesses that all fees were waived and that commitment was recorded in the contract agreement stating the customer owed $0 on the previous lease. I am sorry that you forgot to make the call to Lease Maturity and have this resolved in a timely fashion, but that is not my fault and only you can contact your dealer rep as Acura Financial Services instructed you to do. You indicated on the BBB website that you were "waiting for them to get back to you". This is again absurd as you pledged to call them immediately on 7/1 with instructions from Acura Financial Services on how to escalate if they did not get back to you immediately. That was a week and a half ago. This situation has been going on for 5 months now. Enough already. The unprofessional and self-serving behavior displayed by Acura of Pembroke Pines does NOT value clients or relationships. I have been driving Honda and Acura vehicles exclusively since 2005. The 2020 RDX is my 3rd vehicle obtained from Acura of Pembroke Pines since 2014. Never again. I will never do business with Acura of Pembroke Pines nor ever buy any Acura vehicle again after this despicable display of unprofessional behavior. Please, at long last, resolve this issue as per your commitment.
