Ultimately, I had it narrowed down to two almost identical cars; one at Chapman and one at Subaru. We went with Subaru because they were leaps and bounds easier to deal with. We had discovered the vehicle on Carfax, called the dealership to see if it was still available and Sean had taken our call. He had the vehicle ready for us to inspect when we arrived at the dealership. The negotiations went quickly and smoothly which we appreciated. There was no high pressure from Sean. Also, we would never have found this Lincoln MKX at their Subaru dealership if it hadn't been listed on Carfax! More

Carfax, test drive and close inspection were all offered right up front. There was no hard sell and we got the vehicle we wanted at a good price. I was used to a lot of high-pressure sales tactics from other dealers around Sean was a great guy to work with, as well as the dealership as a whole. I was used to a lot of high-pressure sales tactics from other dealers around town. Never even got a hint of that here. They were up front, never pushed harder than a casual mention for extra packages and stuff I didn’t want, and helped me figure out where I could find what I was looking for. I had never gone through the process of purchasing a new car (or really anything of the price level of a car), and I never felt taken advantage of for that fact. Sean worked with me to get a price that worked, and I didn’t feel like my lack of experience was used as a chip. Beyond that, everyone I worked with was friendly and pleasant. As I said before, there was never even a whiff of high pressure sales tactics or anyone treating me less seriously for my age or lack of experience, which was something I definitely encountered at other dealers around town in my search. In fact, the only time it came up was in mentioning aspects of the car buying process I may not have known. This was my first new car purchase experience, and I left feeling good. I felt good about the price I paid, I felt good about the car I got, and I felt good that the dealer was going to stand behind their product and not try to pressure me down the road. More
