Our search started on the Internet and we contacted Putnam Chrysler via email. We were promptly contacted via email by Peter. We were niot aware that it was the Peter Place that grew up 3 houses away from us. The meeting to look at and test drive the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara we inquired about was informative but not overwhelming. Within 2 hours we had agreed to a deal and we picked up our new Jeep by noon the following day. Can't say enough great things about Peter and our Putnam Chrysler experience.

Today, my wife and I purchased a certified pre-owned 2012 Chrysler Town and Country from this dealership. The folks who work there are very nice and professional, but be warned: they ARE in sales and know what they are doing!
My sales person, Ralph, bent over backwards to get my business. Pun intended...as the poor guy had to go to an emergency chiropractic visit when he twisted his back...BUT he still came in to work and was there to help me with all my probing questions. A+ customer service just for that!
Since this is a business, they exist to make a profit. This goes without saying; you must be a savvy shopper. Ask questions and don't be afraid to negotiate. I am a very picky and critical shopper, which is the only reason I didn't give this dealership 5 stars. I don't like the typical little white sales lies, but I understand that they don't have time to put up with every little objection someone may have (I work in sales too-- I get it). So I don't blame them for that. However, there was one thing that I didn't like that was eventually made right. I understand that until the vehicle is sold, it is their property and they can do with it what they wish. They put on their website that the vehicle had 41.370 miles. However, it was used by the dealer for a runner/errand car and 500 miles extra was put on it by the time I bought it. They made it right though when I complained. Otherwise, the process was quite simple and even after the sale, I was treated with the same courtesies as before because they want my business back.
Oh, and of course I did an online search of the vehicle I bought...a NATIONWIDE search, and couldn't find anyone selling the vehicle I wanted even close to the price with the features the car had. So, good on them for great value as well.

tremendous dealership! no haggle pricing! we were at the end of our car buying shopping and we decided to stop by executive dodge jeep in wallingford and so glad we did! Ryan was the best! he was very considerate of our emotions and fatigue of the whole shopping for a new vehicle process. he told us they do things differently there and they most certainly do. he cut to the chase worked some figures got a quote on our trade in got a kelly blue book quote as well for comparison and ultimately matched the kelly blue book pricing which was a few hundred dollars higher. we discussed a few different options for down payments and what not and the first price he gave was in our price range...what!?!? does that ever happen?? so then we worked another figure this time with the trade in (which they offered cash for trade in) as the down payment and he laughed before giving me the price and when he did my jaw dropped! i was literally speechless for about 30 seconds and then i said let's look at the next model up for pricing. that came in below budget too! we ended up leasing the higher end model grand cherokee unlimited. Ryan was great throughout the whole process. he made us feel comfortable, important, and part of the family there. he was great with our 2 year old daughter (who clearly wants her first car to be a topless doorless jeep wrangler! bottom line this was easily the best car buying experience we have ever had!! friendly, honest, compassionate people throughout the entire process! easy easy easy!!!! the whole staff was so friendly and were great with our daughter. i would 100% and then some recommend this dealership and this salesperson (Ryan) to anyone and everyone. in fact i already have. anyways, do yourself a favor and go to executive dodge jeep and if he's there ask for Ryan! enjoy the easy, relaxed, friendly atmosphere and process they have there! car buying should be fun and exciting and this dealership and entire staff get that!! This is a top notch dealership. I've purchased many cars over the years and I think dealing with Mark at Fitzpatrick was my best ever car buying experience. He went above and beyond trying to help me find the Durango I was looking for and when we sat down to negotiate the price Mark knew where I wanted to be and we were able to quickly come to a price. I was very surprised at how I've been bringing my car over the last 5 years here to the dealership to do any fix on it. And recently the customer service was awful the workers didn't do exactly what they was told about what was wrong with my car and they took further decisions to take out a different part of my car without consulting me. My car didn't turn on and it wasn't drivable when I went to pick it up. This is the worse thing to do to a customer!!!

Took my girlfriends 2012 GC to Crowley for a remote start install and a recall. They had the cheapest price around for labor for the Oem remote start install. After I set up an appointment, upon drop off i was questioned who told me the agreed upon price for labor.. is there no communication between employees there? Upon pickup, the remote start didnt even work! The manager was rude and seem annoyed. He did not believe my girlfriend when she came back and said it didnt work.. upon leaving the dealer she found they scratched her center console. Called them back to tell them our findings... had to make an appointment to "look" at the scratch. Mind you this is really inconvenient as the dealer is 40 minutes away. The manager was very disrespectful, especially towards first time customers...
Be prepared for a horrible service department - RAV4_88
Part of buying from a dealership is what you can expect from their service department. The dealership is beautiful and conveniently located from Danbury. They fail to mention that you must travel another 10 minutes down the road to the middle of town for the Service Department until after you purchase a vehicle.
The Service Department claimed that they didn't hear the death rattle coming from my 2011 Jeep Compass until after 3 trips in for service I demanded they come for a ride with me. Suddenly they heard it and ordered the part (after arguing that it was out of warranty because they failed to comprehend on the calendar October comes before November.) After fixing the rear axle they were supposed to order the same part for the front. Getting tired of waiting for my Jeep to either be fixed or break down again, I traded it in for a RAV4. When I called to cancel the part, I found out they never even bothered to order it! Additionally, my vehicle was also returned to me with greasy handprints all over the windows and paint.
Lastly, they offer NO loaners! What kind of dealership does not offer any sort of loaner service for warranty work even if it is through Enterprise?
Buy from Pamby if you must, but don't expect excellent service to continue through your ownership.
