Everyone was very polite. Visit was totally unnecessary, it was evidently only to rotate the tires. Evidently the tires wear out while the car is parked (ridiculous). I also asked for the chime that sounds in the cabin when backing up be disabled. according to the manual and the internet, this feature is configurable by the dealer. But evidently the service personnel don't know how to configure the Solterra. How hard can that be? More

I took the car in for a smog check and was told it might take 7-8 hours because it was a busy day and there aren't a lot of service folks who do smog checks. So I was well prepared to hang around and wande take 7-8 hours because it was a busy day and there aren't a lot of service folks who do smog checks. So I was well prepared to hang around and wander around the neighborhood (and it's a great neighborhood to wander around with lots of cafes and restaurants). I was very pleasantly surprised when the work was done in less than 4 hours. As for the folks who work there, they are always terrific, from the person who checks you in to the person who takes your money. It's hard to find a nicer group of people. And they do have a great place to sit and wait. More
