We purchased our MDX from Courtesy a few years ago and have been very happy with not only the vehicle but also the great service we receive at this dealership. I took my car in a few days ago and the serv have been very happy with not only the vehicle but also the great service we receive at this dealership. I took my car in a few days ago and the service consultant Kenny Starke helped me with the services I needed. Kenny was very helpful and patient explaining what was needed. When my car was ready for pickup, it was cleaned inside and out AND there was a chilled bottle of water and an Andes mint on the console. It just doesn’t get better than that! First- The actual employee that helped me was fantastic and super nice. He had his mask on the entire time. He was originally from Costa Rica. Super kind employee. While I was sitting in the waiting room for my car for an oil change and I had my mask on (and everyone else in the waiting room had their masks on also). I overheard an older gentleman that is an employee in the service area that was xxxxxxxx up a storm about the mask mandate to other employees (who also had their masks around their chins) and the older gentlemen was going off on how it is the government is controlling all of us by making people wear masks and we have to wear masks to at least the beginning of the year. He said we live in a socialist government and they keep controlling us in the USA and he went on and on. Then all of the employees discussing it in the office of the service area. While the older gentlemen (sitting on the west side of the row of desks) he didn't wear his mask the entire time that I was waiting for my car (about a hour and fifteen minutes total). I will not be coming back here ever since they allow their employees not to wear masks during a mask mandate and clearly don't care about others including their customers while all breathing the same air on a virus that you catch by breathing the same air. While this older gentleman also had a slight cough. It's about perception and caring for others around you and clearly their employees don't. He came across that he was so entitled he only cared about himself and nobody around him. I honestly would have expected more from a higher end car company with their employees. What a disappointment after coming here for years and years. More
Integrity is something to be proud of whether it be individual or as a company. Sadly I think this is what is lacking in this dealership. In the service department in particular. Something as little as a car wash should be just as important as a mechanical issue. There are so many questions I have looking at the invoice I was given of the work that was done. First, if I’m reading it right, it looks like the work that was done took a total of (.70, .30, .20) 1 hour and 40 mins. My car was taken in at 11am and I was called to pick it up at 4:30pm. Did my car just “sit there” for over 3 hours? Second, the invoice states the front brakes were done back in Jan, but still squealing. Only the rear brakes were replaced. No attention (cleaned, lubed and or otherwise) was given to the still squealing front brakes. Is this normal?? I have been being told since the very first time in the service department the brakes are an issue and Acura knows about and are trying to take care of it. My biggest problem with that is if I were a PAYING customer, this would be unacceptable! If a paying customer pays for the brakes to get fixed and they still are not fixed, the customer either gets refunded or the job gets done right, with no exceptions. Moving on from that, but kind of linked together, is the car washing. And the entire integrity of the situation. I know for a certain my car was not washed. I am VERY particular when it comes to the cleanliness of my vehicles. When some “cleaning” of the car was done, the top of the car should have gotten some attention. The dirt from the previous days wet weather was still on the top AND the front windshield along with the wiper marks. The wiper marks were cleaned off the rear windshield as they were more obvious. Where the integrity fits in here is if I was told verbally and printed on the invoice (twice) that the car was washed and vacuumed, what else am I being told was done and really not being done?? I hope this review gets in to the right hands to address. I’m not looking for any type of free service or anything like that. I am an honest person and I love to do business with the like. Now a days it’s getting harder and harder to find such businesses but business owners would agree honesty really helps a business grow. This is something that this Acura service department should really think about. If I am completely coming out of left field with this please contact me for a discussion/explanation of the service(s) performed. I had a great experience buying the car, I hope to keep that feeling going with servicing the car at your location. Thank you for your time. More
