Dodd RV of the Peninsula

We liked Dodd RV very much. They are very thorough with regard to sharing a packet of info on what maintenance you should perform on your RV to keep it in tip top shape...everyone we dealt with was very ni regard to sharing a packet of info on what maintenance you should perform on your RV to keep it in tip top shape...everyone we dealt with was very nice. When we arrived to complete the purchase of our RV it was found that the end cap of the unit (brand new) had faded badly and the motor in the awning was bad...plus a couple of other minor punch list issues. While disappointing to say the least, we have been assured that all of this will be fixed as soon as possible and we've had no indication other than their willingness to have everything taken care of as quickly as they can. Some things, such as ordered parts, outside vendor doing the paint work, etc. are beyond their control with regard to timeliness. I would like to update this rating once everything has been completed. All in all, it is our belief that Dodd goes to great lengths to insure customer satisfaction and to foster great relationships with them...there is an annual Dodd RV Rally at a local campground, they do monthly in-service training seminars that are free to attend. So, we while disappointed that our RV wasn't perfection at pick-up, we aren't concerned that it won't eventually be made right. More

Greg took the time over the phone to answer questions & was flexible with a meeting time to look at RVs. When meeting with Gregg he did not push us into purchasing or try to sway our decision in any way & was flexible with a meeting time to look at RVs. He and Jamie both stay after hours to complete our purchase without rushing us or making us feel as though we were inconveniencing them. Jamie took the time and had everything in place and explained the many different "extras" to purchase for care of the RV but did not push us into purchasing anything of those extras ... allowing us to make the decision ourselves on what "extras" we felt were important or necessary to our needs. We highly recommend Dodd RV to anyone in the market for an RV. More

The Dodd staff was kind, knowledgeable, and open about the pros and cons of the different used RV's we looked at. When we chose one they negotiated the price to work for us. Scott Hudgins was my Sales rep and he was great! Very patient with me. As a first time RV buyer I had a ton of questions and concerns, Scott was awesome! I also was able to work with part of the service team for my walk through of the RV and I will ay they were very friendly and informative on the operation of the RV. Once a gain being a first time buyer it was helpful to have a knowledgeable crew! They were all very friendly and I would recommend if you are going to buy an RV Go to Dodd! We had been looking to trade in our Jayco and purchase a new travel trailer. We went to 2 other dealerships (one in VA and one in MD), and had been getting the run around with the cost of the trailers and new travel trailer. The customer service was severely lacking from the super centers we had gone. That is what led us to Dodd’s RV. Online, we saw the 2013 Tracer 3150BHD and finally found what we were looking to purchase. We contacted Scott and from the start, he was very professional and polite. Every question I had emailed he answered promptly. Since we were over 3 hours away, just dropping by to look wasn’t an option for us. Scott helped us in getting the numbers and finance approved before we arrived. After having a hectic morning getting to the dealership to trade in our Jayco, we were greeted with a welcome sign, which took us by pleasant surprise. We were greeted by Scott and Mike, and were ready to make this deal happen. So we proceeded to transition our items out of the Jayco and wait for our new one. It was still in the process of being detailed, which was okay. We walked around the dealership, having to wait because a customer was ahead of us, even though we had an appointment, and was running a little late, we accepted that and understood. So we proceeded to do the walk thru and look over the new camper, had very friendly staff, Ricky and Mary, working with our questions about the new camper. So after hour 3 of being at the dealership, we started becoming concerned about getting our deal finalized with the finance manager and being able to come away with the new trailer. As I expressed to the sales manager the situation with having to wait, and was under the impression that all we really needed to do was do a walk thru and sign papers, we would be good to go. They explained they were short staffed and he immediately proceeded with our purchase and got us in with the general manager. After some miscommunications with the paperwork (normal with any dealership these days), we were able to finalize the deal and come away with our new camper. The overall experience with Dodd’s RV was good. I would definitely recommend them instead of the supercenters down the road. The staff was polite and friendly (extra thanks to Mary-oi~!) and even though we had delays in the purchasing, they were able to work everything out and we left there satisfied with Dodd's RV. More

We worked with the sales team remotely to purchase our new travel trailer and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to pick it up. Everyone was kind to our three small children and very gracious in helping us to keep them entertained while we completed our purchase. The service department did a very thorough pre-delivery inspection with us and was patient and helpful with all of our questions (first-timers). We would definitely purchase from them again based on our initial experience and plan to return for annual maintenance despite the distance - there is so much to see and do in the area that we plan to have a mini-vacation when we go back. More

Everyone was friendly but felt that the fact that Dodds is a family run business was way overstated. Our salesman was a new employee at Dodds, no problem, we are new at same point or another but ditching other dealers on information that he does not know was a little irritating. I prefer to buy local and from family own businesses. Dodds did provide personal service and listened to our concerns. Yes I would recommend Dodds to family and friends. More
