Terrible Experience. I brought my 2019 Silverado, which I had purchased from them about eight months ago, for a repair regarding the check engine light and a missing I brought my 2019 Silverado, which I had purchased from them about eight months ago, for a repair regarding the check engine light and a missing striker bolt for the tailgate. The issue with the engine light was resolved following a reprogram of the ECM module. I received the bill on the repair today and inquired if it was ran through the extended warranty I had purchased. Matt told me that it hadn't because I had never told him I had the policy. I had used this same extended warranty (which I bought through Gateway) three months prior to this on a different repair and it should have been on file or at least inquired about before repair. He then tells me it was too late to do anything about it and continues to tell me I should have told him earlier. After I complained about it some more Matt finally told me he would call them, after which he tells me that Mastertech doesn't cover that so I end up paying the full cost. I called Mastertech after, since it didn't seem quite right to me. The service rep there looked at their their log. It showed they had received a call from Matt regarding this ECM issue in July, when I originally brought it to them so I had obviously told him about the warranty or he did know about it at the very least prior. The second note came from his call today was simply that they had asked him if the repair they had done last month fixed the issue I was having and his response to them was that he was "unsure." I know its only a hundred bucks and have already filed a claim for reimbursement from Mastertech. I just rather he had told me that he had made a mistake rather than lie and try to shift the blame to me. More
