I did get my alternator replaced yesterday; unfortunately, it cost me $375.00 including labor so it was significantly less than the $800 plus that Jackson quoted me. I also had them check my brakes - Jackson said I needed to replace both front and back - they said my front brakes seemed new (they are 8 months old) and I do need new brakes in the back. Their price for replacing back brakes were also much lower than the quote you provided. The quote Jackson provided me included an additional $4000 of replacement/labor and they questioned whether I should do that work as opposed to draining/replacing steering fluid and transmission fluid which will run $350-$400. I've taken care of the work that had to be done (alternator) and I will talk to other metro area Acura dealers along with recommended Acura mechanics re next steps. Turbochargers shouldn’t need to be replace for a faulty vacuum motor which just happens to be a non saleable part. Turbocharger plus labor $5,700. More
