OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Randi, Given the record amount of snow-fall we've received this year it's not uncommon for under-vehicle trim pieces and fender liners to turn up missing. What is uncommon though is for a customer to notice it missing after an oil change, not say anything to anyone in the service department, and then wait for a 1 star review a month later to mention it. However, you will be relieved to know that we reviewed the walkaround video of your vehicle as it was presented for service back in February and it appears the inner fender liner was in-fact missing prior to the vehicle being pulled into service. It doesn’t matter how many times I am unhappy with certain things like not being sold gap insurance in finance because I was told my car was not upside down. I don’t bother saying anything to you guys anymore because you will always come up with an excuse, but when I am asked to give a review, that’s my opportunity to say something. I absolutely hate coming there for anything but I did buy the oil change package. I have been a long time customer and I will never buy a car there again. I will say that you did help me with the bumper issue and I appreciate that. Thank you very much , I feel that your response was pretty much calling me a liar and I’m sure if you would check with the finance guy when I bought my car he would say he offered me gap insurance which would be not true. I was contacted by one of your sales people asking me if I’d like to trade in my car because I’ve been making my payments on time so I said yes I would love to you come to find out I am so upside down in my car because the trade-in value is $6000 and I owe $17,000 somehow it just doesn’t seem like a fair deal to me.

Hi Betty, I apologize for the lack of communication and your less than stellar experience. I spoke to Hannah, the service and parts departments, and it appears that one of the parts we ordered for the vehicle as part of the reconditioning process is on a national back-order for about 60 days. I don’t know if we were alerted when the part was ordered, or if that notification came through afterwards… either way the damage was already done and yes, in a perfect world the different departments could have done a better job of communicating vehicle availability. Valuing our customers time is of huge importance to us and I’m sorry about the inconvenience. I looked in the system for an address for you as I would like to send you a couple of gift cards. The factory didn’t even look at photos. No thanks on the quote. We will never purchase a vehicle there again. Nor will we be servicing our vehicles there ever again. I’m positive that your tech created the “rock damage” because there wasn’t a mark there before I brought the vehicle in. You guys are crooks and I will be leaving reviews everywhere I can. People spend too much money to be taken advantage of by your organization. I will also be in to cancel my extended warranty.
