Martin Loeber immigrated to Illinois from Germany back in the 1920s. This was that land of opportunity, and he simply wanted to earn enough money to buy a farm back home in Germany. He started by selling Chevys in 1928, and quickly set his sights higher. He fell in love with the automotive industry, and just a few years later in 1936, he opened his first dealership in Downtown Chicago.
After 80 years, and two generations, Loeber Motors is still going strong, and we are proud to own this Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, and Smart car dealership right here in Chicago.
With our 80,000 square-foot facility, we have set ourselves up to serve all of your Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, and Smart needs. In fact, we offer one of the largest combined Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Sprinter retail and service facilities in the Midwest.

5 Star Service and Experience Ahmad was awesome through my whole car buying process! I called the dealership to speak to a salesperson as I was interested in leasing a new Smart Ca Ahmad was awesome through my whole car buying process! I called the dealership to speak to a salesperson as I was interested in leasing a new Smart Car. The receptionist answered and took my name and number in case we got disconnected. They transferred me to Ahmad and he was very prompt on getting me the information I had requested. I made the trip from Milwaukee to Loeber (I had always heard great things about them). The receptionist greeted me with a smile and asked me if she could get me something to drink while I waited for Ahmad. I decided on the vehicle after test driving it and then did paperwork. The finance manager (John) was awesome to talk to and very efficient with time. I highly recommend buying a vehicle from Loeber! I received the same treatment as I treat my own customers. Thank you Ahmad and Loeber! I will be back in 3 years for another vehicle. More
