I was looking for a particular model of a Toyota Tundra and I found it on Carvana. It was located at Luther Ford in Fargo ND. I live in Maine. I inquired about it online and received multiple emails askin and I found it on Carvana. It was located at Luther Ford in Fargo ND. I live in Maine. I inquired about it online and received multiple emails asking me to call them about the vehicle. I called and spoke to a sales rep who was very nice and I explained to her that I was located in Maine and would be interested in buying the Tundra and paying to have it shipped to me. I asked her to check a couple of specific features for me and get back to me. Shortly afterwards she send me a txt telling me that in order to buy the vehicle I would have to be there in person to sign the paperwork and pay for it. I called her back and she said this was the policy. In this day and age I was stunned that this dealership had this rule. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to in either finance or management to be able to work this out. I was connected to a sales manager by the name of Noah. I explained what I wanted to do and he wasn't having it. I told him I would give him my financial information, credit score, and references. I told him I would have my bank issue the check and they could hold the vehicle until it cleared and then ship the vehicle. I had already got some quotes on shipping. I asked him if there was someone else in management I should speak with. Then he told me this with a smarmy attitude; " If you want this vehicle so badly, why don't you fly out here and pay for it?" I told him that was crazy. It would cost at least a grand to do that. It was obvious he thought I was some sort of scammer. It really upset me. I don't know why Luther is advertising a truck for sale in Maine. They should have a disclaimer in the listing that states: "We won't sell it to you if we can't see your face with an ID". More
