Horrible service department experience Even though I have purchased several vehicles from them and used their service department for over twenty years, my last service visit was horrible. Even though I have purchased several vehicles from them and used their service department for over twenty years, my last service visit was horrible. I had them replace the starter on my '87 Blazer. But it was only after I had gotten it home that weekend that I found that they had removed and not replaced the flywheel / torque converter dust cover and the wiring to the engine knock sensor . Both had to be removed to remove and replace the starter. I returned to the service department the following Monday and showed them the problem, but they could not find the missing parts anywhere. They had to order the knock sensor wiring from O'Reillys Auto Parts and told me I'd have to go look around in a junk yard to find the lower bell housing cover since GM didn't stock the part any more. I went back to pick up my truck several days later and was presented with a bill for over $ 300 to install a $ 15 wire and adjust the timing back to normal. When I asked why I should have to pay to fix their mistake, all the service advisor would say was "We only did what you asked us to do" Even though I emailed a complaint to the dealership's management, I have never received a reply. More
