I have had the supreme privilege of being guided by Robert Wachsman @ Rallye BMW in the search for a previously owned BMW X5 to replace our first that we have enjoyed over the past four (4) years. Aft Robert Wachsman @ Rallye BMW in the search for a previously owned BMW X5 to replace our first that we have enjoyed over the past four (4) years. After fooling around with virtually all of the top-rated used car sites (e.g., Vroom, Carvana, CarGurus, CarsDirect, CarMax), I was struck by the wholesale risk associated with true discovery of what is NOT SHOWN on the CarFax Report. Too often my poignant questions eventually revealed incipient issues with vehicle condition inside and out. After several more detailed web search strings for the exact model and color of the BMW being sought, I came across the Rallye BMW Website. Robert answered my web-based inquiry on two (2) BMW X5 Candidates that met my requirements less than one (1) hour after I submitted it. Over the course of that initial conversation, Robert began my education in the major differences separating a Certified Pre-Owned BMW sold at a premier dealership like Rallye versus one that is being brokered by an independent dealer/dealer network having a presence on one of the used car websites. Even with the lion’s share of BMW Vehicles being leased, Robert emphasized the strict standards that BMW Mandates for a vehicle to secure a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Mark. With the lion’s share of BMW Vehicles being leased for three (3) years, those that are returned and found as not being worthy of making the mark are sent to auction whereupon they are picked up by one of the players on the used car website. And that is exactly the path I wandered down during our first BMX X5 purchase, with our vehicle having a plethora of incipient issues that the “extended warranty” I stupidly purchased conveniently covered @ 50% cost if at all. After a straightforward and painless negotiation in reaching the proverbial zone of potential agreement on (i) the purchase price and (ii) the trade in value, I was stunned to discover the two (2) BMW X5 Candidates that fit my criteria had been sold. Undeterred, Robert maintained a weekly update on what vehicles were in the Rallye Incoming Lease Return Pipeline. Across this odyssey of four (4) months, every conversation with Robert further reinforced his role as a high-end vehicle sales consultant rather than a used car salesman. When a BMW X5 Candidate arrived that did not meet all of my requirements but in many ways exceed some with the options included, Robert challenged me along the lines of a cause for a pause in questioning my assumptions underpinning those criteria. In the interim, another BMW X5 Candidate arrived fulfilling the desired exterior color but little else. I sought out Robert’s advisory in making the best choice, with him readily addressing all my “what if” scenarios in selecting the best candidate. Simple words cannot capture the admiration I have developed for a professional vehicle sales consultant that Robert personifies in every way. When the time comes for either (i) an additional BMW Vehicle Lease/Purchase or (ii) a replacement for our “new used” BMW X5 that my wife is absolutely thrilled with, I have no compulsion in seeking any alternatives other than Robert @ Rallye. Through this odyssey, Robert has developed in me a fervent client rather than an ambivalent customer, as I perceive so much value in the education and advisory @ the highest order that he has shared with me. There are NONE BETTER in my humble experience, so take a bow Robert Sir! More
