Got a salvage title 22’ M340i xdrive. Took it for an oil change and was told I’d get it by the end of the day. Got the text saying it was ready. Shortly after was texted that it wasn’t. I asked what happened and was told my turbo seal was leaking and the exhaust was smoking. The car was then held on to for a few days. Then when it was inevitably found out the car was salvage, they stopped working on the car completely instead of letting me know the situation. I went to the dealer to see what was going on and was told that i would’ve needed a new turbocharger which would’ve costed up to $15-16 grand. Took the car back to the dealership where I originally purchased the car, and it turns out there was bad gas, and all it needed was new fuel injectors and that alleviated the issue. I’ll admit they were nice because I’ve taken my 2009 328xi there for a recall a couple months before I got the M340i xdrive and was given the car back by the end of the day and it was detailed too. But this lack of communication during a time where the car was still under a temporary license plate really did frustrate me. More
