In for 60k maintenance on my Ranger. Service advisor pushed $1500 worth of services and claimed recommended by Ford. Reviewed maintenance schedule on Ford website not finding a majorit Service advisor pushed $1500 worth of services and claimed recommended by Ford. Reviewed maintenance schedule on Ford website not finding a majority of the high cost work such as drain and replace transmission and rear differential fluids, etc. Followed up with Ford directly and confirmed these expensive services are not on the 60k service schedule. This dealer is up selling expensive services and misrepresenting that they are recommended by Ford. If the dealer wants to up sell these services they should state the DEALER recommends and NOT Ford. The Ford recommended service cost me $115 with my coupon. Wow- $115 vs $1500!!! This dealer is dishonest and inexperienced clients are getting ripped off. You can’t rely on these service advisors to be honest. They even tried to claim the additional services were due to “severe climate location”. Ford’s service schedule for 60k miles severe service also did not include these high cost services. Can’t say I did not get a good and fairly quick oil change, tire rotation and general inspection per the Ford maintenance schedule (which is what I would only agree to). Be a cautious and informed consumer before you deal with Randall Reed Ford or probably most Ford dealerships. I feel sorry for inexperienced or elderly clients that don’t have $1500 to spend but are scared or conned into unnecessary and expensive services that are 10 times more expensive than what is basically required. The service was good. I brought my car in for a recall. I was hoping for a same day turnaround but it was a 3 day turnaround. I understand many vehicles were coming in for I brought my car in for a recall. I was hoping for a same day turnaround but it was a 3 day turnaround. I understand many vehicles were coming in for similar parts so I can understand the delay. Also, I wasn't told until I dropped off my car that I may be charged a diagnostics fee of $180. This was not on my radar with either of the two phone calls I made prior to dropping off my car so I was caught off-guard which was not pleasant. The recall notice said "no charge". All worked out and recall was fixed at no charge. More

I was taken advantage off when I was for one reason or another in need of a car and the Salesmsn saw me as the best candidate for this vehicle, which was certified by Fird and have had an accident... all in a report that I got from a site where it shows you the history of the vehicle. I am not sure what the requirements from Ford are to certified vehicles but this is a degrading fact. More
