In fact, we went to one on Friday afternoon to test drive We live in Brooklyn and have multiple other Volvo dealers that are closer to us than Smythe. In fact, we went to one on Friday afternoon to test drive some cars and kick the tires. The showroom was empty, the salesman there was unenthusiastic, and they barely tried to sell us a car. It was quite disappointing and not what we were expecting.  Then on Saturday morning we saw an XC40 on the Smythe website that looked perfect. Called and ended up speaking to Patrick and it was smooth sailing from there. Throughout the entire process he was awesome to deal with, responded quickly to all our questions, and made the buying process and financing effortless. Then we got the awesome customer service of home delivery! It was a joy to work with Patrick and the Smythe team and we thank them for making this car purchase so easy. This is our first Volvo and will likely not be our last. More

He got all of my paperwork done ahead of time for me to minimize how long I would have to stay at the dealership to get it all done. He gave me his cell phone and answered it everytime I called. Even on his day off. He was a pleasure to deal with. I also must mention Emilia, who went over all of my cars functions. Coming from a Jeep, things were quite different and she explained everything clearly and patiently. She was a delight to work with. More

I live in Philadelphia and the dealership is 90 miles away. We liked a car and wanted to get in on a Friday, 31st July 2020. 1. We drove a rental car 2 hours from philly to get to the dealership. Alon was in touch throughout to start the buying process and getting the car ready. (Sending a video tour and all) 2. We got there at 6:10, the dealership closes at 6pm. They patiently waited for us. Alon even let me do a test drive before we finalised the car. By the time we were done with the paperwork, it was already 8:10. 3. The best part, how do we get 2 cars back to philadelphia? Alon helped us drive the car back and we drove back in the rental. 96miles 2hours! We drove back to the Amtrak station close to our house and Alon took the train back at 10:30pm. He went so much out of his way to get this done. I think this is the best level of customer commitment I have ever seen. Smythe Volvo is lucky to have such a committed and down to earth employee. :) 4. Overall the process was transparent and there were no weird charges added to our car deal. (Other dealerships were pushing for lo-jack, some coating and what not boosting $1000) I will say this was a great car buying experience! More
