⚠️ BEWARE of Service Practices at Toyota of Rockwall ⚠️ Do NOT send your elderly loved ones here alone! My mother brought her less-than-2-year-old Lexus in for routine maintenance as outlined in the ⚠️ Do NOT send your elderly loved ones here alone! My mother brought her less-than-2-year-old Lexus in for routine maintenance as outlined in the Lexus warranty manual. She trusted the dealership to follow the recommended services — but instead, she was upsold multiple services without her consent or proper explanation. She was shocked to receive a $651 bill at checkout. Here’s what they did without her approval: Tire rotation AND alignment — no proof or explanation that alignment was needed. Oil and fuel additives — not requested or discussed. Brake fluid change — charged $140, even though her car only has 20,000 miles. Their own invoice says this is recommended at 35–40K miles, while Lexus recommends it at 30K. Why was this done at 20K? see attached pic. I reached out to Tony Yazbeck (GM) and Barbara Jackson (VP) via email — no response from either. The service advisor told my mother he was new, which raises serious concerns. Is this how new employees are trained — to upsell and take advantage of elderly customers who trust them? This experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. I’m sharing this to warn others and to encourage Toyota of Rockwall to take accountability and improve their service transparency. Repair Order 6214856 More

No surprises. The car came back clean and runs smooth. Carl respected my time, answered every question, and made the whole visit easy. The service team was organized and professional, and the waiting area was spotless. This is how a service department should operate. Five stars for Carl and the Toyota of Rockwall team. I took my 2016 Sequoia in for 125,000 mile service and my experience wasn't horrible, just not up to their usual standards. It looked like they replaced all of their service advisors because the one I usual experience wasn't horrible, just not up to their usual standards. It looked like they replaced all of their service advisors because the one I usually work with wasn't there and I didn't recognize anyone else. I take very good care of my vehicle so there wasn't much needed other than a tire rotation and safety inspection but I felt the new service advisor was trying to push unnecessary repairs and services. I accepted one of his recommendations and rejected the other as being totally unnecessary. It's not a big deal, but I sat for over 30 minutes after my vehicle was done because the new service advisor didn't know where to find me, even though I was sitting in the same place I always sit. My old service advisor would have known that. He also texted my wife to tell her the car was done instead of texting me. Again, a small thing, but my old service advisor always confirmed the number where he could reach me before I left his desk. The work done on my vehicle was otherwise good. I've been taking my vehicles to Toyota of Rockwall for service for almost five years and I won't change now, but it would be nice if they wouldn't change service advisors unnecessarily. More
